I remember reading in NME that Everything But The Girl had made a Jungle track - and just laughing at the idea. When I watched them perform it (I think this video was from a show called 'The White Room'), I couldn't believe it. It was perfect. Not a folk duo trying too hard to do Jungle, but their own take on it. It must be almost 20 years since this aired, but it still sounds fresh - and I love the sound of that double-bass. If I remember right, Portishead performed on the same episode. They did a version of 'Over' that was better than the final version that was on the album - worth checking out!

Hi Plabuck. This is a performance from "The White Room" which was a music programme on maybe Channel 4 or ITV (some British TV channel anyway) around maybe 95/96. If memory serves the host was a guy called Steve Lamacq (sp?) though I'm not absolutely sure. It was a really good show. I think just about everyone who appeared on it played live. I do remember one particular blinding appearance by early Kula Shaker doing 'Govinda'. Likewise hugs and kisses and a Happy New Year!

The Go-Go dancers prove a point. Ben, Tracey, and Martin Ditcham were in such a groove, the dancers only exemplify a point. From 1:34 until the next chorus, the band is in such a groove, including the dancers, who, really gives a fuck? The writing, direction, and musical composition is so fierce, who gives fuck? You? Who are you? A top recording artist? No! Benjamin Watt and Tracey Thorn are top. "Before Today" (1996), their top-selling track, proves this.
