Everyone Said Maintaining A Nissan GT-R Is EXPENSIVE...

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

More miles on my Daily Driven GT-R.... Time for a service!! $$$
In todays video my 2014 Nissan GT-R gets a full transmission service and front/rear differential servicing. The guys at SOHO Motorsports show us how to change the oil in the GT-R transmission, and then how to change the gear oil in the differentials.
This was much needed maintenance for my car! Nissan recommends at 35k miles to have these services done, so I figured since I'm close, I'll have it done!
While it is a pretty expensive oil change since the Motul oil alone costs over $300, it's ever 35k miles. So I won't have to do this for many many years.
Nissan brand oil is apparently around $80 per quart while Motul brand is $20-$30 per quart. And Motul makes Nissan's oil!!
Overall using a lift and having a pump this GT-R servicing wasn't too bad of a job. And I'm glad my car is one step closer to being in tip top shape!
You can definitely DIY the transmission flush and diff flushes, but having a lift is so much more convenient and it so I could really show the process.

Nice man, make sure you do a transmission relearn, and make sure all the points are at 0 before you do it, it makes the car drive like butter right after, I did this at home, it was a pain because I didn't have that fancy drill pump, I bought a $15 hand pump which took a long ass time to pump in like 8 or 9 of those quarts while laying on my back lol

Prices have gone up since 2019. Here's what you will spend today for a complete transmission and differential service and this is if you do it yourself. Sump filter, line filter, pan gasket and 20 new pan bolts all bought from Jack's Transmissions - $293.21, Motul Competition Gear Oil, (2-2packs) - $84.28. Motul High-Torque DCTF, (3-4packs) - $224.97. For a grand total of $602.46. Not cheap but I hate to think what a dealer would charge and maybe I missed it but I never heard what Mr. Bro was charged by that shop to do this job.

Current condition is what sells cars. Rare Ferrari's and Lamborghinis or a Bugatti will need spot on maintenance recorded. But not normal cars. But a performance shop doing this will be on the carfax, and most people know that half the time dealerships don't even do good work. Shops like this are better to have on the carfax.
