I’m sitting here in the welcome center on I95 south just inside Georgia……my brother and I were just talking about subway this afternoon, he payed 18.00 for a foot long and a drink near Tampa. Prices are crazy, glad my wife cooks while I’m gone and freezes my meals, and i eat on the truck……..happy independence day to you and the family…..

Just think you could be making world famous sandwiches while waiting all those hours. Different strokes for different folks, each to his own. P.s. drove C500 Kenworth for almost 15 years in N.W Canada. Best years of my life, quite at 73 or so, they were good years. Stay safe.

@@JustTruckin You young guys probably have never trip leased a load it may be gone now I'm retired so I'm not out their but a trip lease is with the actual trucking co. no brokers are involved. Brokers are just a middleman with their hand in your in the pocket the downside to trip leasing was you had to actually go to the agents office to do the paperwork and usually you got 75-80% of the gross.

Justin, thank goodness you didn't get stuck with those solar panels. Happy The Joneses helped ya out. Subway is Definitely now in the fine cuisine dining category 😂. Safe travels and God 🙏 bless you.

A friend used to be a manager at Cisco, where Subway bought most of their food. He said he refused to eat there because they bought the lower, cheapest grade of everything.

i haven't bought gas in 2 years. my $15 dollar gas commute cost me $2.50 in electricity. but the best part is the zero to 60. love the instant torque and one pedal driving. i will always have a gas car, but will mostly always drive the ev.

@@SkilledEddie Ehh......I get what you mean, but this sounds a bit like a variant of the "Boots" theory. Where people buy cheap/subpar boots that need to be replaced repeatedly, proving more expensive in the long run than if a more expensive pair of boots was purchased in the beginning. In this example, someone who buys a $75 pair of boots and needs to replace them once per year versus someone spending $150 (or $200 or even $250) on boots and only needing to replace them every 5 years. Which was actually cheaper? Same applies to a depreciating asset like a vehicle. If an EV costs more up front versus a comparable gas/diesel but saves that amount in gas (and possibly oil change if full EV) costs over the life of the vehicle, then as you put it, "Spending more upfront to save money" DOES make sense. At least to me.

@@SkilledEddie don't have an EV as I don't commute for work and when I drive its usually to far away remote places, up crazy 4x4 dirt roads middle nowhere in mountains. My best friend who drives a ways to work daily was spending over $100 a week in gas. He traded in his old beat down SUV that wasn't worth anything plus 2k deposit which was refunded and got an EV. Which cost him just under $300 a month payment after all the state rebates and incentives. His savings on gas was more than monthly payment for EV. Got a brand new car in exchange for a 20 year old beater and got a little extra $ in his pocket every month. EV he got only had like 120 mile range but point being EV can pay itself right away. If you figure payment on a new gas car plus money spend at the pump, its way more expensive to own up front. Only way its going to cost you more, is if you buy a fancier EV and buy it outright with cash rather than a loan. Fair comparison is monthly car payment + cost of gas and maintenance every month. You don't have to buy 100k EV, if on a budget can get a 30-40k one and save money from day one.

Yes, talking about the Hurricane (Beryl), its a cat 3, possibly 4. Heading for the Carribbean, and looks to be heading into Mexico. My neighbours (I live in the UK), are heading off to Mexico, landing at Cancun, on Saturday, and could possibly get held up. I thought it would be easier to drop everything off in the compound where you are parked, and then be collected as and when they need it. In fact, instead of burning the trees, they could have used the trunks to lay down as roads for the trucks. I'm writing this as I'm watching the video. So, it would not be feasible to drop loads off at the parking compound, as you're half way to Canada by the looks of it🤣🤣. Did you say $16.00 for a footlong?😵‍💫😵‍💫. Here in the UK, you're talking roughly £6.00 ($4.20). Any sandwich whether Subway or other outlet at them prices, and you're out of business within a week

over 110 it would take that long to fully charge but most people charge at 220 over 50 or 60 amp. most people don't need a full change each day and commute or use less than 50 miles a day. you can easily charge that overnight while you sleep on 110.

Are they setting those fires for misquote control. All the pooling water helps breed more misquotes.

I always assumed brokers had to pay for carriers signing up through 3rd party automated systems.. That's how companies like RMIS make money. I suspect bigger brokers pay a large fixed fee each month and don't get charged per carrier check but smaller brokers probably pay for each check.

Insurance scams ain't our problem. It's the cost of doing business for the insurance company. Don't insure people with poor credit if it's too risky.

I was in trucking for 30 years I've seen us go from hero's to zero in my life time .yes I miss it but would never go back. The shipper don't care through receiver don't care it's all ways the truckers falls. I live in NC DOT blizs was stopped 3t times going to pick up my load And 1 time after my I picked up my load left my truck sitting there called my to pick me up only 20 minutes from my house. Told the dot if you want my truck you can have it .

Happy Fourth of July! As far as the idling goes? Depending on the make you can set the trailer brakes and just let it idle. Otherwise? You set the brakes on the tractor as well and bump up your idle with the cruise. Set the cruise control

The whining is getting to be a bit much

We hate it wuej tue log trucks get stuck. We are at a certain area resting. We hot up way early and flew out to make it to the memorial service. Friend's was happy seeing us arrive at the airport. So we rode with tuem and they are letting us stay at a location wyere a few is staying. They was shocked reading a text message feim somebody wgo give me the wrong date and it was today. Lucky we flew out and made it. We are resting now and tuen in about 15 minutes we are going to gwt with other's and have fun. Friend's relative's are happy thst we ran into friend's and thry ket us stay with them. We are flying out tomorrow after service. Friend's wanted usbto stay but they know about the tradition thing thst Jesse and hos Godmother does every year.
