The main thing I took from this video is that if your technique doesn't involve 100% slapping then Davie will show up in your backyard at 3:47 AM, bass in hand, and break open your bedroom window, only before entering your bedroom and cracks your head open with his bass

1:21 I use that technique all the time! Steve Bailey is the master of it. It's great for the pinch harmonic sounds, and playing entire chords and solos with harmonics. It's really useful on a fretless since you can get slide harmonics.

5:20 I did this at a show one time with my old BC Rich Warlock, but in the opposite direction. Despite having Straploks, after ~1/2 a rotation, the screw ripped out of the bottom end, sending that pointy bastard flying straight back, nearly impaling our drummer. Fun times.

As a professional drummer for more than 18 years , blessed with an absolute pitch , ( don't need it as a drummer but do have it ) i know what i'm talking about.
