Correct me if im wrong, but Better Help has been known to take advantage of their already vulnerable customers and provide little to no actual assistance and "therapists" who charge and who aren't even certified. A lot of other people have pulled out their better help ads and for good reason, and I think that you should look into that. Loved the song by the way!

There are some metal bassists who slap but I'm surprised it's not more... Metal is so rhythmic that slap seems like a natural choice and it adds a whole new level of aggression

As a hardcore metalhead, I loved this a little more than usual. 🤘
Been listening for years. You've always been amazing, but I think your recent stuff has been more soulful and moving. Every separate part of this song has great feeling. Together, they create a masterpiece. Loved it.
That was one of the best metal riff videos I've ever seen. Truly amazing, Charles!

Really enjoy having more of an exploration of your process and the way you think through your compositions. And it builds more anticipation leading up to hearing the full song. Great video!
This was absolutely killer, filthy tone while being very tastefully arranged. Need the album, bro ❤️ 🤘🏻
CHARLES. That was a spicy tip on matching the kick with accents from the bass line. Thank you for that. Your fade to black 5 string is beautiful.
@CharlesBerthoud

Yeah that's a great place to start and works vice versa too. If you're stuck writing a bass line to go with a drum groove, start by playing notes with the kick, then add / subtract from there!
Casually having Davie504 in your video, gigachad.
You gotta make a full album with this style and perhaps with lyrics too. Seriously love this!
This is something DT would write during Train of Thought era. Outstanding composition and arrangement❤️

I'm loving these new style of videos! Keep making content. You are an inspiration to me and so many other bassists around the world!
I love that you're showing us more behind the scenes, it's interesting to know how you actually go about composing these epic pieces!
This new format is great, makes me appreciate your music even more than before.
Thank you Sir Charles, for your tremendous artistry and for helping the evolution of the bass reach new levels of excellence. Incredible!
I know you just launched a new channel, but I'd love to see more behind-the-scenes of how you write original music and make arrangements and covers since I really like your style!
This new video type where you explain what goes into the creative process is so cool! Keep it up, I love it!
Charles, you are too good, and I just want to thank you for how good your compositions are. They are spectacular, and aspect of them is underappreciated
This is a masterpiece, we need a full album 💿 Charles, greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
Dude... That was sick as hell, that main riff was killer. I listened to this 2 times before I could post cause I had to hear the song again hahah. Honestly I could listen to, and buy a whole album of this. I'm a huge fan of progressive metal/death metal, and I think a bass forword/focused project from you would be so cool. Also the songs wouldn't have to be so short cause it wouldn't be a KZread video. 😂 Cheers! 🇨🇦
I would love to have a full album of this please. I will buy it now.
This was amazing! Really upped your metal understanding and production in comparison to your older metal pieces (which were musically amazing as well of course) Amazing composition, i love you :)
The new concept of your video is just amazing 👏👏👏
Have you ever heard Dominic "forest" Lapointe? He's a metal bassist with a band First Fragment formerly of Beyond Creation. I think you'd get a kick out of hearing his fretless bass technique if you haven't. Cheers Charles, this was cool af.

All your videos are bangers. Seriously man you’re setting the bar so high for technical and creative ability all while remaining down to earth and entertaining. Thanks for the jam!
This is something I would add to my playlist, show my family, and listen to on repeat, thank you for creating ANOTHER masterpiece Charles.
This was an awesome video, Charles! It was great to see a quick insight in your production and how you write your music! This song reminded me of "Gates of Babylon" by Rainbow for some reason, which is nice because that is a great track as well! :D
Yes! Charles, yes. This is the kind of content I want to see from you. Longer format (but not too long), and original stuff that won't get copyright struck. This was EPIC!
im very excited by the new direction of the channel. i love these like half tutorial half entertaining videos
I love these vids where you talk through the development process
Amazing as always! I always love it when you do metal stuff. It would be epic to see you cover a Meshuggah song, like Dancers to a Discordant System or They Move Below (or perhaps one of those audition videos for them!) Keep slappin’, bass brother!
Charles Berthoud inspired me to post my compositions on youtube and even today I watch his videos with admiration. So thank you very much Charles and continue your videos, it's amazing...
First time I've listened to that, gotta say it was awesome. Need a full album of this type of thing, it'd be amazing
That Schecter sounds amazing. Fishman on bass is something I rarely see. I am a Bartolini man myself but dang, I need to try those fluence. Also love the piccolo bass XD
I'd pay for an instrumental album like this.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND UNBELIEVABLE BROTHER !!!! YOUR TIMING IS IMPECCABLE AND YOUR TECHNIQUES ARE SO WELL EXECUTED !! YOU ARE TRULY AN ELITE PLAYER IN THE WORLD OF BASS GUITAR MY FRIEND !!!!
I love how you listen to your audience. I saw lots of comments saying how good the Schecter 5-string sounded a few videos back, and now it’s in every single one! Just shows what a great guy you are Charles
A whole album of this please.
I’ve been playing the bass for about 3 months and this just makes me even more motivated to keep learning💀
I've been following you regularly for about a year or so now Charles, and I just gotta say as amazing as you are on the bass, I think your overall musicianship and song writing is just as good, of not even better. I've been checking out your tunes on Spotify, and it really is some of the best bass feature instrumental stuff there is, as far as your arrangements and melodies and whatnot. In those aspects I'd seriously put your stuff right up there with the solo stuff from Victor Wooten, Stu Hamm, or any of the other big names who do this kind of stuff. And on a side note, your videos have made chuckle more than once too, so overall keep doing what you're doing!
This was great! I loved being able to see how you put it together but in a fun comedic way
There simply aren't words to describe your talent!
Have a contest to see who can do the best vocals or screams over this.
Love this format
This creation is sublime without a doubt, as many say and I agree. An album with this song and all the ones you add would be epic. The audience is already full waiting!! Force!!
Therapy with Davie 🤣🤣🤣
These videos breaking down how you put the songs together are a great insight into your creative mind! Love them. Thanks for sharing mate!
Thanks for explaining your thought process at the beginning!
The melody in the intro is awesome! Everything is awesome, but the melody really stands out for me and they way you build up on it!
Can you do a neo-classical metal piece, combining your beautiful metal bass playing and composition skills with your already awesome classical bass play?
Prince of Persia : Sands of bass
Just awesome, as always!!
You are a beast on that bass man!…hard work done joyfully- persevering paid off!!
PLEASE PLEASE more videos like this where you educate us musicians. I know you're good at bass. I know you can make a music video and will continue to, but this shit is just awesome. seeing the PROCESS. It's even cool for non musicians too i'm assuming because of all the great edits. Keep it up!

Your work is so cool!!! Amazing music.

That Davie session was epic

Absolutely brilliant. You are a great musician & thank you for the great videos 🤘🤘
Thank you so much for showing your process. Your talent is next level
Sounds awesome. Great job
As much as I enjoy the short clips that go straight to the piece itself, this is so much better!
This was amazing. Thx for inspiration.
God damn. I had alot of bass heroes when I was younger, but over the last few years I’ve realized you are the best. KZread videos are probably the money maker but you need to do side projects to get into the zeitgeist of popular music so you can be remembered by everyone, not just the musicians.
Oh man 😁 this is ridiculously good. And as always some added humour. Great job
Full metal album please! Any vocalist would be stoked to feature on your songs.
Excellent! You’re so inspiring!
What's best about this is that exotic sound. It takes me there. GJ.
Pretty neat being shown the how the music comes together
