Was spiralling about my migraines and feeling really upset. Watching this woman talk about how she has chronic migraines but can still function really helped make me feel better. Glad I found this.

I've had episodic migraine since I was 14, but I've had constant migraine and trigeminal neuralgia/facial pain for the past six months, after going through a period of cluster headaches that landed me in hospital. My life has been completely limited and changed. I wish I appreciated my pre-chronic pain life more. I can't cope with stress anymore, because it immediately leads to debilitating migraine. Right before this illness started, I was overworking, sleep deprived, incredibly stressed, and under-eating. I can't help but wonder if I could have prevented all of this pain. *If* *you* *don't* *rest, your* *body* *will* *force* *you* *to.*

My daughter has a very bad migraine too. I watch her every day go through that pain it is not easy. It is not something you wish even to your enemy. I hope she will get better someday.

At 14 I was diagnosed with chronic daily migraines. They are genetic on both sides of my family. After a severe, avoidable drug reaction I never saw a neurologist again. I still have migraines but not daily. Idk why but when I have one, and only when I have one, I fantasize about shooting myself in the temple. Something about the pain level…

I have three triggers for migraine: sleep, diet and stress. If these three things are messed up, i'll definitely get a migraine. Even with painkiller, it won't go. I just have to stay still on bed in the dark cold room for it to disappear. Any movement will give me the throbbing pain. Sometimes, i'll get aura around 5-10 minutes before migraine hits, a rainbow-like image that blinded my vision. To anyone suffering with migraine in their life, it's okay. That's just a way your body telling you to better take care of yourself. Have some rest 😊

Omg same with me. Emotional stress, lack of sleep and not eating much causes my migraines. I have had a migraine for days now in my right temple and my eyes are so painful. It’s a nightmare and so painful so I understand how u feel

It’s NOT ok. Yea we are told it’s not life threatening. Big deal. So many times I’ve prayed to die because there are way worse things than death. I had a migraine every day and night for over ten years once. It was definitely not ok and the fact it didn’t kill me was definitely not a bonus as the time. That was the draw back!

This is really interesting, cause I cant listen anything while having a migraine, because I can feel the vibrations in my ears so hard, I start crying. Also looking at my phone, while migraine is coming is only cause that it came faster and harder.

Same here. Can you do anything to keep you entertained during a migraine? I usually just think about something, which in the best case leads to me napping.

I have chronic migraines. I have about 4 to 6 a week. I haven’t been able to find specific triggers on a day to day basis. I possibly have hemiplegic migraines but we aren’t positive I am currently diagnosed with just migraine with aura. I have physical auras where I can’t walk or I can’t even talk. I’ve tried many different medications and haven’t found any relief. I now have a service dog in training to keep me safe.

The symptoms are mild compared to vestibular migraine ;-; I have brainstem/vestibular and it is dizziness in my thought processing for nearly a year, the floor moves and jumps, I blackout and freeze, can't walk, i lose ability to speak and see. I haven't been able to have a clear thought for nearly the entire time!

I have had a headache for 7 years. I have periods where it gets worse, I don't know if it's migraines but the doctor gave me migraine meds and it helps a lot. But I always feel it. Sometimes it's still debilitating through gabapentin, fluoxetine, tramadol and migraine med.

It’s difficult to say if the sleep thing is the cause of the migraine or if it is part of the migraine symptom. The hypothalamus begins the migraine and it is the Centre for controlling sleep, eating, thirst, temperature and everything. I mean you cannot force sleep. If you’re not sleeping, you’re not sleeping. My heart rate can go over three hundred beats a minute and then I start sweating and throwing up. Someone may say to me that is triggering a migraine. But no, that is the migraine causing the v-tach. I stop sleeping and sleep at odd times and its because a migraine is already starting but there’s no other symptoms yet. I can’t do anything about it cos my brain is going to do what it wants and if it wants me awake then I’m awake.
