Saltspray Rigs gimmick is that the map is mirrored or something like that, not in the usual way all the other maps are. Its a cool idea but yeah thats why the map feels weird to play on, I'd love to see someone try to do something with this concept again

I remember my favorite was always the museum, despite how much I got lost on it 😂

Personally I rly liked Hammerhead and it’s the 4th fav map of the series while yes spawncamping and stuff exists but it’s prob the most complex stage with many routes and ways to enter the enemy spawn,its just bad that the spawn sucks

The spawncamping probably isn’t even that bad because you have to use some of the grate path to get to spawn

If I’m being completely honest, arowana mall is one of my favorite maps but just in Splatoon 1, but in the whole series. It’s up there with black belly skatepark for best Splatoon maps in the series in my eyes

Before Splatoo 3 came out, I was hyped when they first announced Mahi was coming back. I figured they would rework it to include new stage hazards, like bounce pads or even grind rails that could act like water slides. Oh how naive I was. Depression aside, the one thing I love about the original Splatoon's maps is the diverse unique settings. Not that the settings in Splat3 or 2 are bad, they're just... kinda samey.

The maps in this game actually take advantage of their themes, unlike most of the maps in 2 and 3.

I used to absolutely HATE blackbelly skatepark when I first played Splatoon 1. not because it was a bad map, I actually loved the map design, but because my internet at home just HATED it. I swear, every time I got that map in rotation I had like a 1/3 chance of getting disconnected randomly in the middle of the match. I'm wondering if it was because of the way the game kept track of ink coverage on all the curved terrain from the halfpipes.

8:50 "if you dont have a brush you're out of luck" funny enough, rolling on the grates doesn't even work in this game, the game treats your speed as if you were out of ink good list, i agree with most of it aside from blackbelly being as high as it is, and museum turf isn't really fun to me in either game due to only one way to enter enemy base

You know, after the Side Order DLC releases, you could make a ranking of every Splatoon Single-player campaings across the games, that would be interesting.

Ok, I just suggested because I think it would be a good topic for a video, but I can undestand if you don't want to deepen too much in Splatoon.

Honestly, respect you rankings but also I have a few more things to say about some stages: -Walleye Warehouse: We can all agree that THIS IS THE WORST STAGE IN ALL IF CASUAL SPLATOON BECAUSE: 1.Its a hallway 2.Its the map that's most prone to spawn camping 3.its EXTREMELY CLOSTORPHOBIC -MOOray towers: This stage has the slowest pace out of any stage in the series, getting down is a chore because of its height and when you fall down, be careful of all hazards and retaking the stage, good luck with that because either you have to climb up a few walls or walk ALL THE WAY BACK UP, yeah this stage sucks and on zones, it is abysmal, It's a split zones MAP AND BOTH ZONES ARE HUGE AND VERY FAR AWAY FROM EACH OTHER!!!

Awesome video, Platy!👌👍🦑🎨🐙 I used to have a Wii-U back in the O'Henry Middle School days to play Splatoon(alongside with the other Wii-U titles that I enjoyed over the years), and it was awesome! I had so many good memories with Splatoon back in summer of 2015! But sadly though, around October 2018, I sold my Wii-U for Xbox One X. I hate how Nintendo treats fans or older Nintendo consoles like garbage.

I played Splatoon for a long time I got more competitive-ish around Splatoon twos end as playing Splatoon three for a while. Now I have noticed that they’re trying to go more competitive and balanced instead of fun turf war

God, I hope Nintendo doesn't milk the Splatoon franchise to death like how the other triple AAA companies are doing it.

Is some of this gameplay from Chuggaaconroy? Im recognizing the gear he would use a lot, especially on the flounder clips.

Port zones barely functions. I had a match where neither team was able to get the zones counter below 80 for the entire 5 minutes. Also, ill defend Flounder till the end of my days. It's a map i always have fun playing on. aside from port and walleye i don't think there are any maps i don't have fun playing on. even if they're not the best designed they are always at the very least interesting.

Will you do it for S2?
