Honestly it's not really weird because they didn't make his official design for ITSV, and that's why they used Peter B. Parker's design as a placeholder for Young Peter Parker.

I like to think that ITSV's sequence is kind of from Miles' perspective, as if he's picturing it himself as Gwen tells the story, as opposed to ATSV which, in the intro, is told from Gwen's perspective
