I feel like everyone is missing out on what the joke on the cue card was. I highly recommend hitting pause because it's hilarious that Che not only wrote the overall "Colin won't read a cue card held by a black man joke," but he went the extra mile and wrote a prime joke for the card itself that was totally missed in the moment.

Scarlett played a Japanese person in the live action Ghost in the Shell movie, which was widely condemned as... A Bad Call. Because maybe get a Japanese person for the role. That's... kinda messed up. Thus the joke is her playing a man of a different race, in extremely poor taste, again.

I watch the same episode over and over and laugh every time. This team is wonderful.

👍🏽👍🏽Same here. Humor has it’s place among friends and should be enjoyed in the spirit that it is presented in. This should speaks to me about language and how words are such a smaller portion of understanding that we have given more power than they deserve. The tone, in my opinion, has more meaning than the words.

I think they just didn't do it this year because of Cecily leaving... It seemed to hit Colin quite hard, during the Weekend segment he delivered all his jokes completely flat and didn't crack a smile once... In the musical number as well he seemed to be struggling a bit. Being the first to hug her at the end My guess is that they knew they couldn't deliver it to the standard people have come to expect because of the emotion of the evening... I am sure it will be back for the end of this year!
