To make it way better once Harry called Voldemort Tom Voldemort tried to tell him that he hated that name and being known by that name yet Harry didn't care and just kept on continuing on. So badass! EEP! :)

@Gregory Marshall Also, two more additional changes should have been made. 1) It was important for everyone who was fighting to *bear witness to Voldemort's death,* otherwise they'd just have to take Harry's word for it! They should have kept the finale as the books did, Harry and Tom circling eachother in the Great Hall *surrounded by witnesses and spectators* as opposed to off on their own like in the movies, when Harry implored Tom to _"try a little love and remorse"_ as he's seen the frightening remains of Voldemort's mangled soul. 2) *Voldemort should have been killed as he did in the books;* nothing spectacular or noteworthy. He just fell backwards in a heap, limp and lifeless... Completely unremarkable. His worst fear was dying a mediocre death ☠️ which is precisely what we should have seen, as opposed to being "Thanos snapped" and crumbling into dust flying away in the wind.

Yeah it did got Harry in trouble too, the word "Voldemort" was jinxed which actually led to capture of the trio and the scene at Malfoy Manor happened. I guess this was the reason everyone called him "You-Know-Who"

What I’m missing is that in the book Harry actually doesnt kill Voldemort but it’s more like he (in accident) kill’s himself. The way Harry wins is much much stronger in the book. He talks to him and breaks down his worldview and this made Volde so angry he used the death curse which repelled and hit him back. So Harry just placed a mirror but Volde decided to shoot and forgot about it.

Break down his world view how? If you have hostile foreign elements gradually taking a greater and greater part of your society they will eventually come to dominate and destroy you. In the memory where Snape berates Harry he's also told by Dumbledore that "you see what you expect to see, Severus". I think it's an indication that Snape shared that memory as a way of apologising to Harry. He may not ever have liked Harry but he respected him enough to share all those memories when he really only needed to share the one about him being a Horcrux. It's so sad how they basically glossed over that chapter when it's one of the best (if not the best) in the entire series.

Harry at this moment was at a low point with no hope with all the death that he have seen in the fight and he could not conjure a Patronus and even welcomed being consumed by the dementors when Ron and Hermione's Patronus faded away. But When Luna, Ernie and Seamus helped them with their own, Luna said "That's right, Harry. come on think of something happy" to which he replied vainly "Something happy?" Then Luna said "We're all still here,we're still fighting. Come on, now" A great moment for Luna as she always had this demeanour even in the darkest times, also a call back to Harry teaching D.A. the Patronus charm, and now his "students" are teaching him how to do it again.

There is one scene, that I absolutely hate and that's how lame was Voldemort's death compare to the book. In the book it was a deep scene in the Great Hall, where Harry explains all Voldemort's mistakes to him in front of everyone (even tho flexing about his ownership of the Elder Wand, when everyone sees you, wasn't necessary). And Harry even tried to prevent him from making a fatal mistake. This shows, that despite his reputation in Wizarding Britain and people's fear to the point of not saying his name, he was still a regular man, who can make missteps. And he dies just like a normal human being. Just a corpse and nothing else. In the movie it was just another generic Avada Kedavra- Expelliarmus clash with no substance and witnesses. And Voldemort just got hit by Thanos Snap for no reason, like he is some epic dude.

Exactly! He should've been proven to be really No.Big.Deal. like in the book. Instead, we get a version of Saruman being killed by Wormtongue in the LOTR books (have NOT seen those movies). It ruined Harry's character arc too-no "try some remorse" as you mentioned. And afterward there was no celebration, no everyone running to congratulate Harry, no going upstairs later and Harry wondering if Kreacher could bring him a sandwich; in the movie it was like they'd lost . . . total downer, but at least there was the epilogue.

I think it’s just the opposite, the battle in the movie leading up to Voldemort’s final defeat was awesome! It was just as it was meant to be with Harry and Voldemort actually dueling around the castle they both called home, rather than Harry and Voldemort circling around each other waiting for the other to make a move while everybody gasped and pointed in the corners like really? and how insanely stupid was it that Harry told a hundred people that he was the master of the most powerful wand in existence? In the book it actually was just how you described, a generic Avada Kedavra-Expelliarmus clash with no substance and like Voldemort said, Harry didn’t win because he was a better wizard, he won because people greater than him had paved the way. The only reason he became the Elder wand’s master was purely by mistake, if not for that he would not have won the duel.

45:34 In the screenplay he did say something similar that he abandoned them and begged for death to which Ron replied "Liar" akin to "He beat you" from the book. But interestingly Ralph Fiennes did a fair share of improvising doing this scene resulting in the iconic laugh he made and the awkward Draco hug. Also in the screenplay when Draco joined the death eaters, Ron shouted at him that Harry saved his life, which made his hesitant for a moment to walk to the other side. It didn't make it into the film and wasn't in the book for that matter, but it was an interesting thing to see.

After watching all these videos on the differences of the movies from the books I would love to see 100% re-creation of the books to see what it would look like but of course nowadays companies aren't good at making remakes and such so I honestly it's best to just leave this gem how it is

I think that we should all take a moment to appreciate the amount of time you have taken to create this series. The shear amount of time patience you had to create this is amazing. I’ve enjoyed watching this series and it even encouraged me to rewatch the films 🎥 and I am currently on Order of the Phoenix. Thank you so much for this it’s been great and I honestly love your video theories so it was an honour and privilege to subscribe to your Chanel. Keep calm and carry on being the amazingly Talented and powerful wizard you are. Xx

10:27 Exactly. Also Harry at this point didn't know anything about the ghost of Ravenclaw or even her alias the grey lady as she was always shy, it wasn't until he asked Sir Nicholas at Hogwarts or when Luna suggested in the films.

I love the addition of Voldemort letting Neville speak. You can see how infuriated Voldemort was when Neville ask him to say something. He tried to supress his anger and eventually let him, because the no - nosed bastard was happy that he killed Harry and said, "I'll let it slide".

This has been an amazing series! I'm a bit sad to see it end. It would be cool if you made another video combining the Part 1 and Part 2 videos of The Deathly Hallows into one complete video, for the full Deathly Hallows experience.

Now, I'm actually fine with Harry and Voldemort's duel in the movie as I thought it added more tension. But I would've changed one little thing. Instead of landing in the courtyard like in the film, they instead crash into the Great Hall. They would then have their conversation just like in the book and it would pretty much end the same way.

Fun fact: I know one of the people who were Emma Watson's acting doubles for the Deathly Hallows films. She was in charge of the Musical Theatre group I went to. During my last week there, I asked her if she knew at what points she appeared in the films, and she said the widescreen shot of the kiss in the Chamber with Ron was her, as well as a scene in Part 1 where she goes down to a river, and she says she knows it was her because she absolutely hated filming that scene so was very pleased it had made it into the final cut

I respect the hard work you did for this series. I saw the films back when they were getting released before reading the books. I actually JUST finished reading the books about 6 months ago. Because it has been so long since I watched the films, I searched all over for all the differences but nothing really came up that helped (at least visually since I couldn't remember the films 100%). This series was great.
