Starts a 59 with a bogey. There's a lesson there for all of us.

He might be the only player to do it with a bogey on #1, but IIRC, only 4/10 of the 59's (or maybe all sub-60 rounds so including the 58) have been bogey free. What is also impressive is that he made par on 2 & 3, so he went -12 for 15 holes after that point.
That eagle on 6 is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen someone do in golf. Sick round
Thank you PGA Tour. This is the video we’ve been wanting for months. Even if it’s only for this video, thanks for doing this.

Billy Horschel seems like he’d be a lot of fun to have in a group of players. Every video I’ve seen him in, he’s super supportive of other players’ success. Seems like he’s a competitor for sure but still has lots of fun playing golf!
Sendeker: “Why is it going right!?!” Reality: two feet right. That’s the difference between pros and amateurs.
The way Snedeker rolled the ball in this round is truly special. Masterful stuff.
12:10 Incredible shot. A shame he couldn't see just how amazing it turned out.

Kudos to the greens keeper. Played this course and February and they lost the greens due to frost. Those greens ran very true. Sned! Well Done!
Great to see the other players congratulate him at the end
Great video! More full rounds please. So much better than watching so-called "highlight" videos that are 90 % putts.
I love hearing Horschel throughout these clips. Even though Horschel can have a bit of a temper sometimes, he does seem to be a pretty positive and encouraging guy with other players. Even when he does get his temper up, it seems he directs his frustration at himself rather than pointing it outward at his caddie or others (unlike some players on the tour).
This reminds me. . .I've been wanting to watch "Groundhog Day" for quite a while, quite a while.
Not every shot!
I love how this round starts with a bogey. Just mind boggling. Talk about turning it around. Nearly eagles 15 too.
He's swinging the club as well as I've ever seen and his putting is ridiculous, great combination!
So glad he won this tournament! Big Fan! Go Sneds!
What an awesome round! Congrats!!
Horschel's encouraging comments were great. What a true sportsman.
I think about this round all the time when I start off a little rough. Incredible round
This channel knows how to leave people wanting more.
The soundtrack playing in his head was the cicadas singing.
This reminds me of that round I shot at my club all those years ago. How time flies
Though 59 is amazing, imagine what could've been..the dude bogeyed the first hole, was even par after four; missed a very short putt on the 17th, but made a pressure pack putt on the 18th for a 59..glad he did it, one of the nicest fella on the PGA//

What an epic achievment! A unique playing style just like Furyk (who shot a 58 two years ago).
If that was all 59 shots, then you might want to put an asterisk beside his name in the record books because he apparently didn't hit a tee shot on #12, no putts at all on #15, and no 2nd putt on 17. I guess maybe he just didn't wanna tee off on #12 so he just dropped it on the green, then maybe didn't feel like putting that short one on #17 so they called it a gimme. Anything can happen. Anyway, I guess it can be overlooked because he apparently putted out twice on two of the holes. Seriously, who thinks this stuff up and doesn't think anyone is gonna call them out for their inaccurate descriptions?

I could ask the same of you. Do you feel better for posting that asinine comment? I see you didn't refute anything I said because it was all true. Bottom line, the PGA Tour posted a misleading title and description with their video. Doesn't take a PhD to figure that out.

I agree with you that the title is misleading. A better title would have been almost every shot of his round. Or virtually every shot of his round with possible errors. But that kind of seems stupid dont you think? . What would be better is to not take every youtube videos title so seriously that you hold them to some weird oath of journalistic integrity. And stop taking yourself so seriously that you feel the need to call out someone giving you free stuff in a goofy narcissistic way.

If someone walked up to me on the street and handed me $10 and said, "Here ya go, have $100 on me!", I'd still look at them like they were goofy and tell them that it was only $10. You know, after I put it in my pocket.
Such a smooth swing

Amazing love his Routine and putting style
Yes this is what we need
Always dreamed of jarring a shot in on the fly and damaging the cup.... Still dreaming 🏌️
Wow, what a round. Amazing he shot -4 on the front when his ball striking was pretty shakey, but made a lot of long putts. Back 9 he was on firing on all cylinders, ball striking and putting.
Thanks for the video
A really tradesman like round. It's interest to see how easy it can get for good players to put a great rounds together when they take advantage of their lucky breaks. Amazingly, the round had a boggy in it.
Awesome golf from sneds well done you
I played my local Sunday comp with a tour pro the other week. He hit every green in reg and then he'd come and help me look for my ball each time. Such a champ he must have hated it.
59 shots (missing some and replayed others) ....great round...putting stroke working for me too now
Well after the dew laden 9 hole start, the back nine was just superb and could have been a 26 / 58. Not a Brandt fan but, top-Snedeker-tastic round. well done Brandt. 👍🏻
The consistency that every golfer dreams of
Love when he putts he pats the green to ensure he didn’t leave a mark. Class
Videos keep getting better and better but you should be able to get this round in about 10 minutes as European tour does!
Good to see Sneds back in action
Pretty cool that Sneds and Furyk, two short hitters, are in the history books with 59, 58 during the bomber era.

Caught that too. Commentators really doing their job.
Can we give Massive props to the cameraman for the hole out eagle. Great tracking widened perfectly caught the whole thing; can't ask for more
Is it, no it can’t be, no way. A decent highlight reel
There have been 10 rounds of 59 in PGA tour history. 6 of them teed off on the back 9 (Geiberger, Snedeker, Thomas, Furyk, Chappell, Beck). I reckon that the reason is the psychology of "starting again" on the first tee taking the pressure off (a bit).
@maninblack9850
4 жыл бұрын
Half the guys tee off on number 10. 6 out of 10 isnt a mathematical anamoly. It fits well within the range of normal for a sample size if 10. If there were 100 rounds of 59, and 80 of them teed off the back, then you might have a point.
Wow!! He could have had a 58. Can you believe that folks. I'm thrilled to get to see it.
Wow people only care about saying the video was trash it wasnt bad had a couple extra clips but it happens by mistake....that round of golf was a beauty to watch to come up huge after a bogey on first hole
His swing is so smooth
Golfe e' um Show de bola .
Good lord heart pounding at the 17th even though I knew he’d do it on 18...
Jeez he was throwing darts with his irons. Amazing.
Just.... wow.
I watch this video like once a month. Just to remind me that I can shoot 59 at my home course even with a bogey on the first LOL. That hole out Eagle did help him a ton. all things considered he just threw darts on his 2nd 9
Dear PGA Live, please let the ball land on the tracker before cutting away. I want to see how far they hit it. Thanks!
Yells “I pulled it”. Lands 10 feet from the hole and birdies it lol
You'd normally think a 59 has to be perfect AND some bonuses. He was +1 through 3, didn't eagle either par 5 and missed a 6 footer on 17. The jarred 7 iron was a bonus, but man, crazy round.
It sure didn’t look like 59 the first few holes. What a round. Just shows you the importance of one shot at a time and forgetting the bad holes.
Awesome!
Awesome Round. Can't blame then too bad for the pair of duplicate cuts. I would have been in hurry to get this one out too.
Sweet! I'ma start my next round with a bogey just for Sneds :)
The putt on 9 is so clutch
Need longer videos like Euro tour
Damn I can’t believe that round started with a bad tee shot and a bogey.

Billy looks fun to golf with.
When he started with a dodgy bogey I thought how can this be a 59? And he missed a couple of makeable puts too, could've been a 57!, unbelievable golf, his swing is so calm just now, lovely to watch.
So remember kids, after the driving range...practice your putting !!!
WOW he had a 58 in the bag save for the bogey on his first hole - 10th!
This guy will win the US Open one day, mark my words
I shot a 59 today!! On the front 9 at old orchard country club.
Wow..!!! I am amazed by these people who don't seem to be affected by bad shots. I am ok till I make bad shots. Then I spiral down. Mental toughness on display here..!!
Plus the Double Eagle that he wasn't aware that it went in.
Brandt is a good dude

Robert Davis .... cool, and yessss, I was in my garage trying it, lol. it reliefs some serious tension in the hands, but that would take serious practice to groove it, because you definitely can feel loss of control in the take away, but it loads up well and brings some speed to the ball

I don’t notice it. I just do it. It’s not something I think about. I’m a feel player (0 handicap) and to me it feels weird if I leave my hands on the grip too long without moving my hands. I think it’s from powerlifting

Robert Davis ... sounds like you actually have better fingers than hands lol... I'm a hand guy, jumbo grips and all just to feel it in my hands, when I tried that thumb off, I could definitely tell it's a finger action. nice cap' ... O and that thumb action definitely has to be done with a good swing.
@user-wh6sp6st8s

I can’t use jumbo grips. They make me grab the club during the swing. I use standard everything pretty much. Loft, length, lie angle, grip size.
