This was the best golf this year. It was absolutely fantastic. Both players were epic. Still cannot believe bryson didn't make at least one of those 4 putts to win he had. Fair play to Cantlay for remaining calm and getting it done despite being behind the whole way

Amazing playoff. I was there in person and will never forget it. This is also a prime example of golf, and that the scorecard doesn’t take pictures. Even when outgunned, never give up.

Those fifth playoff hole drives were absolutely incredible. Some of the best golf I’ve ever seen

This is absolute proof that the old guys who hang out on the driving range are correct: a stroke is a stroke: doesn't matter if it's with the driver, the putter, or the wedge. Cheers for Bryson for recovering from the dunk in the water & for Cantlay for "Going Draino" for 78 holes.

New respect for both Bryson and Cantlay. Both demonstrated crazy abilities to move on from errors and Cantlay's putting was on another level.

I followed these two the most of the day and the playoff and the golf was like this the entire round

This was my first pga event I’ve been to and we watched this playoff from the bmw owners tent which is right between 17 and 18. Coolest experience of my entire life

Cantlays response with that stuffed 8 iron on 17 in the playoff deserves just as much credit as the putting. That took some stones

Some quality golf in the playoff. Matching shot for shot. Some incredible par save by both to stay in it. Exciting golf.

That was a terrific playoff, the best I have seen in 50 years of watching golf. Neither guy would give in. It just wasn't Bryson's day to win. And Cantlay was in dire straits a number of times, but he found a way to get it done. That was serious resolve. It would be awesome to have such a playoff for the whole FedEx ball of bills this Sunday.

Cantlays shot at 17 was pretty amazing

I was there on Friday. First tournament I've ever been to. What a blast and you don't appreciate how good these guys are until you see it in person. Amazing finish, sort of felt bad for Bryson. This had to hurt bad and will sting for a long time.

@@MahanFan1 Correct, albeit the stats only go back to 2004 and excluded majors for most of that time period. Tiger's best since '04 was +11.2 in the 2013 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Bryson gained 9.4 strokes this week which would normally lead the field.

The morning I had to put my 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier down I went to San Gabriel CC in So Calif to follow Cantlay in his final rd od the So Cal Am Championships. He started the day birdie, eagle, birdie,eagle ....thats 6 under after 4 holes...he eventually won that day and he helped keep my mind off my dog. Didnt hit me till I got home to a cold empty house
