Oh yea in episode 8 in buggy's flashback when he was in the roger pirates with shanks sense Rayleigh was Gol D Roger's right hand man he was obviously on the ship. but like @mangetsu0012 said, he had black hair at the time but they redesigned it with blonde hair. He may show with white hair now but that was a long time ago so he just grew old and got white hair. pretty self explanatory
