He is a great fighter but i think 19 loses is too much No hate
One of the most impressive things to me is when a fighter can compete in multiple eras, since the MMA skill level is developing so fast. When a guy has highlights pre and post reebok fight kit that is incredible.

Yeah and they had a fights from Ultimate Fighter season 7 (2008). They are at Season 31 now 15 years later.

@zackhicks5320 It 100% does. It’s a good way to keep track of time: 2016-2022/2023-which is a big stretch of time in a young, rapidly developing sport. It’s like more than 20% of the sport’s age. Also, 2016 was the MMA-boom and led to huge developments in skill and when you started seeing fighters who have been training MMA since childhood.
Dudes so slept on because he doesn't talk a lot of ish but his striking is timeless. Everything he throws hurts a lot and he's able to generate power from either stance and in any position and maintains good cardio every fight.

The pressure and cage cutting are Matt's most potent weapons, second only to his trademark clinch game. When Matt's opponents realize they are running out of gas,since the pressure gives them no room to adjust their breathing, they may attempt to flee the fight in a panic and rush into Matt's counterhand or kick. Matt simply won't let you off the hook if he smells blood.

The Immortal shocked me on live TV when he flatlined Diego Sanchez with an elbow from hell. The way Sanchez folded like lawn chair made me think that we might just witnessed a homicide on ESPN. 🤣

Been a fan of The Immortal since his controversial split decision loss against Stungun (Don Hyon Kim). I love his fights and how he holds himself. No shittalking, no show, just a real man and a true warrior. He's very underappreciated though. Too bad young fans don't even know Matt Brown. Hope amazing videos like this will change that.

I remember that Erik Silva fight. Matt Brown had a legendary performance that night in his hometown.

That brawl for me was up there with some of the greats like Hendo VS Shogun, Lawler VS McDonald, Hunt VS Bigfoot. Just none stop balls to the wall violence and grit.

@@ajay7797 he didn't really get it over on Silva until round 3. Matt got dropped and mauled in round one with those nasty kicks and another in round two with a punch to the body. Doesnt have to be a long drug out fight to contend, both guys just went for it. Another good one would obviously be like Diaz VS Daley for me. No feeling out, all these guys wanted each other to bleed haha

@@greedygreed6599 Daly vs Diaz is considered one of the greatest one round fights in mma. and yeah, these guys dont remember Brown getting ripped to the body for 2 rounds just to turn Silva to paste.

The immortal Matt Brown was one of the first fighters I ever started following dude is just an animal and always comes in the cage for a tough fight, and the dude just understands elbow strikes on another level. That elbow strike to the downed opponent followed by those elbows to.the bodies was one of the smartest things I've seen I'm surprised nobody else in the UFC took that from Brown, could of won Yan his fight against sterling but he threw that kneee instead 😂😂😂

Matt Brown was a great fighter he just couldn't beat thee elite teer fighters at that time , he is still one of my favorites. Definitely deserves to be in the MMA HOF
Brown had that amazing run up until he ran into Lawler. The guy is a true UFC fighter and I'm glad there's still people like him around.
The Immortal has been in my top 3 fav spot since I met him in 2008 at my job and he was really nice to me fanboying out.
I alway in love with his Thai clinch work elbows knee and clinch sweep but his stomach is his biggest enemy tho 😅

matt brown and jim miller knocking people out in 2023 is so cool and a perfect illustration of the value of experience. dozens of fights' worth of timing and fight iq largely makes up for the athletic deficit and makes them a nightmare matchup for most ufc debutantes. are they close to being champions today? no. would i be thrilled to get a call from the ufc to fight either guy on 10 days' notice? also no. appreciate them while they're here!

mein fight 9:28 mark very questionable elbow behind the ear. Given previous history would of been a DQ.
That Sell fight kind of pissed me off how the ref didn't stop it sooner, the man fell over when Matt grabbed his head. That kind of reffing gets people hurt.
