Warning, long post: Back in the SWG days, I was a teenager and headed into college, I wrote a collection of short stories having to do with my own Mandalorian OCs. My favorite Star Wars books ever are the Republic Commando books, and my love and fascination for Mandos quickly grew into an obsession. So, I created the Cassus clan. On'dru Cassus, was one of the Cuy'val Dar, who trained the 41st Clone battalion. His son, Ankin Cassus, is my main OC where most of my stories centered. He and his wife had 3 kids. Altogether they were Ankin, Klinah, Rusaan, Kotra, and Kalika. During the GCW, Ankin along with some mandalorian friends from the Clone Wars mostly kept to themselves, until his father On'dru was killed in an Imperial prison. Then, he organized them to start sabatoging the Empire. and would regularly run raids on Imperial shipments meant for the 2nd Death Star. Following the GCW, he set up a small Mandalorian enclave on the all but deserted planet of Gree. He grew a sizable force, separated from Mandalore and Fenn Shysa until around 14 ABY when the New Republic caught wind of his operations and nuked it from orbit. Killing Ankin and most of his forces. His surviving family split up with his wife and youngest daughter fleeing to Corellia. Kotra became a nomad and was lost to his family, until they all met up again some years later at the start of the Vong war. So far that's where I left off. I wrote my stories to be able to fit as seemlessly as I could into the EU at the time. It was my dream to have my Mandalorian creations become part of the EU. So, after watching this video, I felt like posting this homage to his story and legacy I created. Thank you for the video! Kandosii vode!

I love your mixing of Mando'a and English, as I'm currently lazily studying Mando'a. Playing a Mando'ade in Edge of the Empire, and it is pretty important to the character. Plus I like it.

Impressive how both youre Audio and Video quality has improved this much.

Boba Fett was much better in Legends.

Its hard for youtubers, especially smaller ones these days to rely souly on exploiting and adapting to the ever-changing KZread algorithm that controls which content gets seen.

Nice vid, I love That the Mandalorians are mainstream now, with The Mandalorian hopefully, more people will find vid like this. One thing I disagree with is that Tor Visal was just a pirate if anything he was a true Mandalorian for returning old violent raider days of the crusaders. Jaster was the one turning them into mercs for hire.

Numbername Well, Tor didn’t exactly try to establish the old Mandalorian way of the crusaders, but settled for harassing smaller systems and weak foes (generally acting opposite of what the MAndos of old would’ve considered honourable). Jaster Mereel knew that the Mando‘ade didn’t have the logistics or manpower yet to wage war on the galaxy , which is why he chose to stay out of the big galactic players‘ sight and opted for mercenary work. Who knows- maybe he would’ve come around to establishing a standing army again to expand Mandalore‘s territory.

@SonofEyeaboveall Effoff I say make it a Multiverse like Marvel. Two equal timelines. Continue the EU, but don't brand it "Legends" just call it the EU timeline or whatever. Same with canon, call it the Disney timeline and don't put the one above the other. But that just won't happen sadly. The current Lucasfilm doesn't have the brains for that.

Tarre Viszla is from Disney's new canon, she never existed in the Expanded Universe (Legends).

I hate how they gave Revan, the Exile and Jaden Korr genders and races.

@@ironinquisitor3656 The KOTOR comic and KOTOR II did absolutely fine in keeping Revan's face and gender hidden or up to player choice. SWTOR could've done the same as KOTOR II. Additional problem, why make Jaden (who could've been anyone else) a human guy, why not a Twilek, a Devronian some sort of alien protagonist for once if they're gonna use them as a character.

well i personally think jaden korr is still interesting and there are some fairly interesting novels developing his character and i personally had trouble enjoying the kotor series so i personally think the idea of trying to expand on revan and the exile's characters could have worked but it just wasn't executed the right way with the revan novel but i still think it could have worked if executed well but thats just my opinion

@@theriseofdaddypalpy7876 well old Lucasfilm always had a hierarchy of canon putting Novels above games. So it's not really an issue. I can see if you only play the games why it would bother some but u dsrstanding this Expansive universe. I dont see the issue.
