EVERY ILLUSION from BEYOND BELIEF: FACT OR FICTION

Фильм және анимация

please enjoy this supercut featuring every optical illusion from the under-rated television show BEYOND BELIEF: FACT OR FICTION. the beginning of each episode featured an optical illusion presented by hosts James Brolin (s1) and Jonathan Frakes (s2-4). while the illusions vary in their level of amazement, watching Jonathan Frakes perform them is always beyond belief!

Is there anybody else that is cracking up so hard over the illusion with the rabbit and the duck? It's so underwhelming but the way he narrates it is god-tier which makes it so hilarious.

I love these bits because they’re clearly disconnected from the stories being told. They’re just there because the writers found a cool optical illusion and they had to find a way to fit it into the show

I mean, they are thematically connected to the message of the show for sure, it is underlined quite heavy handedly even few times, but they are satisfying thing to include for the skeptical viewer who might not find the ghost stories that seriously.

I was looking at the last illusion, the checkerboard, and I was wondering “what squiggly lines is he talking about? I only see straight lines” Then I put on my reading glasses and I noticed them. My blurry vision masked the little squares that caused the illusion. So I guess having a clear sight does not always mean seeing clearly 😉

Goes to show that once exposed to these tricks your mind has the capability of almost instantly learning the patterns, at least that was my experience. I wonder if anyone had the same situation happen to them too.
