Hello everyone! Im away from my usual studio like setup for the next few weeks. Instead of not posting anything I figured Id try to post videos that dont need all the fancy software, hardware, and editing for. Ill try to at least get my mic back for next week but this video is well suited for sans mic. Anyway, hope everyone enjoys as much as the video I did like this for the base game!

    47:00 I swear to God, the base game was already one of the most unsettling experiences I've had (looking at you, Dark Bramble's fishes!), and the devs decided to go full on Kojima's P.T. with the DLC. Discovering the eclipse from the satellite and going full speed to this devouring darkness was the first hint of the terrors to come, and seeing a damn *corpse* standing behind you in a dark tunnel in the Eye is just as unsettling! What I mean, is... Congrats, Mobius devs. I'm very picky when it comes to horror, and yours is perfectly tuned to my tastes!

    They threw their companion in an eternal prison for trying to alert others to the eye and then at some later point decided to even destroy the combinations to his cell locks, most likely well after they'd surmised all of their bodies including the prisoner's had died and no one was left to interfere with the signal jammer. I really don't know how to read that other than spite and malice borne out of their unabating terror of the end. Don't forget the elks are free to end their own existence whenever they wish by snuffing their own lanterns, but they don't. They snuff out yours because they (correctly) see you as a potential threat to their eternal limbo. They presumably stop hunting you if you stay in the simulation because if you don't do anything but persist there, they'll eventually recognize you as simply another shade like them. But I really don't interpret their psychology as benign in the slightest, and I think that's what makes the prisoner all the more heroic. Just my read though, the game leaves endless space for interpretation.

I mean, when you don't take off the warp core and go to the "dream world" by dying, they can chase you and turn off your artifact, which leads to the loop starting again since we died both IRL and in the dream world (because our artifact was blown off). So, what would prevent the Owls from doing the same when the time loop is gone? Shouldn't we also die because our lights are turned off by them, like we do when they find us while the time loop is active? If anything, they WOULD have the time to do so if we have eternity to run from them. If anyone has a answer to that or to explain something I misunderstood, I'll gladely take it! But species inspired by them(the eye uses our memories to shape the new universe to an extent). So in short. The eye used our memories to create a new universe.

    I only did those in the same loop so people could see both the dlc ending and the end of the game after beating the dlc. You dont need to free the prisoner and visit the eye in the same loop.

    I just did that to showcase the dlcs end game scenes and actual usual ending at the eye in the same loop. The intended ending refers to the actual ending of the game at the eye.

    I just finished the game and the DLC for the first time and I'm confused by the true ending. Is there a way to find the codes for the devices in the subterranean lake? I thought you always had to die in order to pass the statues.

  • @TheLoreExplorer

    @TheLoreExplorer

    Жыл бұрын

    You dont have to die. But you also cant find the codes. But even if codes are destroyed. The lock themselves would still respond to the codes if put in. So if we enter the right codes(found in the games code) the vault will open without us having to die. But thats not the games "true ending". I only did the true ending in that loop because I thought itd be nice to end the game with the prisoner freed. This doesnt effect the true ending at all! Finding them while dead vs alive wouldnt change anything. And ending the loop when they were freed doesnt technically change anything . Sorry if that confused you

    @@TheLoreExplorer yeah thanks that was my confusion that I thought you had to do everything on the same loop but it's just like Solanum that as long as you see them and gets recorded the they would appear in the end.

    How is the intended ending to free the prisoner while being alive ? We are not supposed to know the code for the bridges. I'd like to be able to free the prisoner so he can kill himself before ending the universe but just like Solanum, what matters is their memory and you get all your friends in the end no matter which loop you talked to them. One really weird thing is at 23:36 the Nomaï ship is supposed to create a blackhole to warp into. In this video it's a white whole which doesn't make any sense. Is this because it was made on a save that didn't have the knowledge or a mistake that has been corrected by the developers since on more recent videos they create a black-hole ?
