DBM is S tier, every song on there slaps

Honestly Jackpot Juicer really hit song after song gold. A jackpot if i were to say😂

I heard Kurt the reason Kurt wasn't in the band anymore after Happiness, was that both the band wasn't happy with the direction it was going and that Kurt was struggling live at the time. Looking at old concert footage, I can see why but that is just what I heard

Yeah he had a drug problem at the time and wasn’t willing to do things to take care of his voice. After happiness , the plan was for him to sing higher fun fact lol

Afterburner is an actual masterpiece,easily their best work along with mothership and instant gratification

I feel like everyone either has self titled close or at the top/bottom, rarely ever in the middle for me it's my personal favorite

self-titled is my second fav album. so sad that its so down low on the list

Love the respect for Happiness, definitely my favorite record from them but Deathstar is amazing dude.

almost clicked off with that Death Star placement because it’s one of my favorites…but placing Happiness in S tier redeemed it for me 😂

8:52 Just some fun facts i guess lol - DBM II Came together during the time of the "Squash The Beef Tour". Jonny Craig came off a tour with Emarosa then went back to dgd after his detox/rehab dealio. Kurt and Jonny have always been cool with each other. Though, from my understanding. they just kicked Kurt to the curb. The yt channel "The Cozy Representative" does brilliant job explaining what happened to Jonny Craig and dgd.

i started listening to DGD in the time between Acceptance speach and Mothership somewhere and i have listened to alot of their music and currently my fave band. Personally i prefer Tilian over Jonny Craig and Kurt Travis. I feel like the combo of Jon Mess and Tilian on the vocals is the best they can have and with Andrew Wells joining in to be a 3rd vocalist it just made it even better. Long Live Swan-Core

Artificial selection was a weird one for me. Listen to it a couple of times at first and didn't really like it at all. I thought it was by far the weakest of the albums.. until I made myself listen to it all the way through. I'm so glad I did! If I'm being DEAD honest, every.single.song.slaps! It's literally just under mothership for me. It's actually the only album that literally every song is actually great on. Even MS has a couple I tend to skip. Top 5 1. MS 2. ArSe 3. JJ/AS 4. IG/DBM2 5. AB

Artificial Selection has straight bangers for like the first 6 or 7 songs. It's probably the only Album I can listen straight through without skipping. It's S tier for me.

Cool list. I agree, Jackpot Juicer is goated. I have pretty much every song on that album in rotation. Mothership is the only other DGD album I can say that about. I also agree: Afterburner and Artificial Selection are front-loaded with absolute bangers (and some God-tier ending tracks i.e. Nothing Shameful and Evaporate) but I'd have to go out of my way to listen to the deep cuts on those records.

Jackpot is so overrated. Listened to like 30 seconds of two secret weapons and turned that shit off instantly.

DBM, whatever i say, self titled can play start to finish.

What songs don’t you like from dbm2? There’s 2 I don’t really revisit but even so the instrumentals are great. Almost every song on it is a must play for me.

I actually very heavily agree with the majority of placements in this tier list, especially being a DGD superfan since DBM. I loved hearing you talk about how rough Jon Mess’ unclean vocals were. Early on in DGDs releases I had trouble getting friends to jam with me. I’d always say, “Yo listen to this band, I know the unclean vocals are shitty but I stg their music is great!”

Artificial selection c tier…I- no words.

For me it gotta be S: MS and JJ A: Happiness, ArtificialS, DBM2, AB B: DBM,DGD, IG C: Artificial selection D: Whatever I say is royal ocean F: N/A Whenever DGD release an album with a colorful art, you know it's gonna be timeless

Your Jackpot take is not controversial. A lot of people thought this was kinda the successor to the Mothership album of how every song is kind of a banger. Even though you don’t like every song on it, people really do like every song.

Same here bro with mothership. The latest album that was out when I really started listening was Artificial Selection, but the first songs I heard was Mothership. However I disagree with other your take on the album, I LOVE Chocolate Jackalope and just about all the songs on the album. S tier for me.

I haven’t listened to a full album after mothership yet, but happiness and the first ep or whatever is my least favorite, happiness had a few good songs but it was such a drag to listen to, I couldn’t even finish strawberry swisher pt 1 that song was annoying as hell lol

This will be a fight and I won’t agree even before watching, everyone has got different on them

The reason I can't listen to self titled is Jon Mess' screams, I think they're unbearable, especially when you consider his vocals on DBM were fine, and he would just get better and better when he returned for Acceptance Speech.

Honestly the self titled really doesn't do it for me. Dunno what it is. I don't think Kurt and Jon work well together stylistically. Happiness was fucking fantastic and it let Will and Kurt bring this crazy funkiness to the table. I like maybe a few songs off death star but Jon's voice was _rough_ and the worst part of it is that Hot Water On Wool is two separate tracks for some reason so I basically never listen to the full song because I just chuck everything in a spotify playlist and hit shuffle. Rock Solid's hilarious though

Ngl, instant gratifaction is really overated imo. Here's my ratings from left to right. S- Happiness, Mothership A- Jackpot Juicer, DBTBM2, DBTBM1, Afterburner B- Acceptance Speech, Artificial Selection, DGD C- Instant Gratifaction And i haven't listend to WISIRO. Was tough to make and a few of these albums i haven't listened to all the tracks on but yeah.

DGD's last good album was DBM 2 lol i cant stand anything Tillian, stopped listening to them when he got involved. Waaaaaaay too poppy, less mathy and skramzy.

i like wills screams more than jons... o_o

Jon's screams on Deathstar were absolutely horrendous. Going from that to Will's on Happiness is definitely a breath of fresh air.

This is such a good band as far as their music is concerned, absolutely have fallen in love with it over the past couple years. It's sad to me whats happened lately though, with the loss of Tim, and Tilian's sexual misconduct/assault stuff coming out. While I think Tilian is a good vocalist, I think the band made the wrong move bringing him back so quickly. Just sends an awful message to your fans that you're not going to do anything about a guy thats obviously doing shady stuff with female fans. Makes me wonder if anyone else in the band is in on it or something.

I didn't realize until this week they took Tillian back (3 months ago). The "he said/she said"/#metoo nonsense is always a dumb reason to ruin someone's career. If there was a real crime where's the evidence/ court case/ conviction? I need to see that before I go around demanding a witch hunt. I think Andrew Wells is a great singer, but Tillian put a tramp-stamp on every song he ever sung on; they needed him back.
