  • @MelodicTurtleMetal

    @MelodicTurtleMetal

    2 жыл бұрын

    That's bullshit. An attack doesn't have to physical to be harmful. Will Smith obviously felt in some way hurt by a joke at a specific loved one - the slap caused no harm, nothing more than a shock - just like the joke. Equally abusive. A closed fist punch would be a very different story. Being a comedian doesn't allow you to be a bully. People claiming it was 100% unprovoked are dismissing emotional abuse. With all that being said, he definitely overreacted. But the joke was offensive to him, and at the expense of his wife. The slap was never supposed to, it going to, cause physical harm. Equal play

    I don't understand why it was sad. He stood there and took it like a man and handled it like a professional. There is nothing sad about a man that can maintain his composure in the face of adversity. Sad is an insecure man physically assaulting a comedian over a joke (tasteless as it may have been) knowing there was little to no chance anything would happen to him as a result. Not only is he insecure, he's a coward. His wife managed to make him look like a fool yet again. Now, that's sad.

    I have beat cancer, heart surgeries, 31 plus broken bones, stabbed, shot, broken back, more major surgeries than I can count, and more than I could say, But the one thing that has helped among other things has been humor, lots of humor, jokes about everything, comedy and comedians can take the power away from a disease by joking about it and they take hurt away by joking about it , jokes have away of allowing you to take back what is been taken from you when you can laugh about a terrible situation it gives you an inner strength something to build on. I support all comedians and their comedy, whether I laugh or not, Comedy is too important. And I will add , if my brother Lenny who suffered with stage 4 cancer for 12 yrs in experimental trials and chemotherapy over 30 times and dozens of surgeries and procedures , if he was still alive he would be writing the same thing I am . Chris should’ve replied, “You should keeps all those d!cks out of your wife’s mouth so you’d calm down a bit!” Walking on stage at the biggest award show in the world and assaulting someone on live TV and not even get thrown out let alone arrested is what actual privilege looks like. What a joke…then he gets a standing ovation ten minutes later🤔. It’s literally unbelievable

    Also, as a lifelong standup fan, you know for a fact he wasn't joking about the list of comedians who didn't stand up for Chris being passed around and all other comedians rallying against those people. Few things are more certain in life than death, taxes, and comedians protecting each other. As soon as I saw the clip of Will my first thought was 'this idiot has just awakened the wrath of the all comedians - what a terrible thing to do if jokes hurt your feelings, which they clearly do.'
