That is the problem with women in this country today... Certain women that managed to get their hands on power that they used only to promote themselves. Will Smith was a hero to his wife. Since when did even mentioning the flaw in someone that you love require that YOU MUST SAY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to appease the mob? The Mob? The Mob? I am an individual. I follow no Mob. And no Mob will ever dictate to me what I feel is important. Because a Mob is made of those that are insecure and when they band together, they become a MOB that will follow someone who recognizes this and soon lead them, and all other good people, right to Hell. This is not only in the US, this has happened throughout history. Go back to your Mob and enjoy the destruction you easily do as commanded.

@@shammahmazuru4605 I am going to say this because I was a dedicated fan of Will Smith. However, if you can't take a joke then get out of that occupation. You can't have it both ways fight and beg for attention and then if it is not under your control, start physically attacking people. It has been reported over and over that Rock did not know she had alopecia, and so Will overreacted. Not only that Jada claims to be an actress. So she is fair game. So what we are saying to men who are not actors, if your wife is an actress and a comedian makes a joke about her, go on stage and fight him. I love Will but he was so wrong, nothing heroic about this act.

He talked about protecting the two little girls who played Serena and Venus, about protecting Aunjanue. Will went to studio executives when he found out Aunjanue was not being paid what she should have. Will was having a human moment - we all make mistakes, some of them terrible mistakes. This idea that Will Smith was “protecting his wife” is a LIE. To protect is to keep safe from harm or danger. Jada was not under any threat of harm or danger at that point. If Chris Rock would have went on a long rant verbally attacking Jada and wouldn’t stop, and then Will Smith got up on stage and slapped the crap out of him to make him stop, that MAY be in the category of “protecting her”. That clearly was not the case. What Will Smith did was retaliation. Because of something Chris did verbally, Will retaliated physically. As far as “protection”, he did no such thing.

Of course too many jokes and yes build up, so many years of bad jokes... when is he going to get it that is not humour and he does something that hurts???!! The academy values are an issue when allow a comedian to make a joke about Oscar winner's wife medical condition. A joke like that in such a special event...
