I am a huge Final Fantasy fan. My two sons and I played Final Fantasy IX years ago. Nine is our favorite one. We started playing Magic back in 1994. Our group loves play Commander at our kitchen table which is so much fun. My sons, friends, and I are also playing 3 different Dungeon & Dragons campaigns on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday nights. Thank you for the video Scry Babies.

Watching his video is very fun but also considering that the lore is all over the place it was nice to get a fun/comedy take but also correct. Spice did wonderful for this

Love Lua's glasses. Murders seems like it will be a really fun limited set. Doesn't really hit, for me, for other formats but I think limited should be good. Bloomburrow will probably be the best (or most disappointing) set of 2024 though I think, personally, I'm looking forward more for Duskmourn. Love me some horror.

Also if you like Final Fantasy IX you should check out the No One Can Know About This podcast. It’s an audio let’s play by two friends who are playing every final fantasy. They’re doing IX currently and it’s awesome.

Once upon a time it felt like 4 sets/year. Which is honestly a fine number when you have the right kind of SKUs each release lol

Tarkir is where we got all the wedge names! (Mardu, Abzan, Sultai, Jeskai, and Temur). I was just wondering when they would go back to that. I started around innistrad, so it is cool to be revisiting these early sets for me. I’m also super super stoked for Lorwyn. That art style is my favorite ever. Looking forward to SO much of the stuff coming out. Particularly the in universe sets (though I am psyched for Fall Out)

I was not excited about MKM in the least bit, but now I’ve seen a lot of cards and art from the set I’m actually quite excited about drafting it.

I can't wait for the Final Fantasy set. Going to go on a serious serialized hunt

@@scrybabies First and foremost will be the FF7 cast, serialized Cloud/Tifa or bust. I would like to see a planeswalker Yuna from FFX, using the loyalty counter to summon her Aeons. Legendary Creatures in the form of the primals that are universal throughout all the Final Fantasy games. There is so much to work with.

Kingdom Hearts, while it might be a long shot, does have a lot of potential for interesting mechanics. Planeswalking for going to different worlds; keyblades as artifacts that can be given keychains as enchantments. With Marvel doing Universes Beyond, Sora getting into Smash, and the Disney/Epic colaboration - we might actually have a shot.

Amazing second episode, love seeing people get excited for their niche interests in terms of the sets.

An updated version of Clash with the top 6 cards(revolver reference) adding their mana value and rewarding the winner with card advantage would be a cool addition from Thunder Junction.

Please no more Evoke creatures without ways to deal with them! That btw doesn't mean a bad and narrow answer for them, that means print creature counters that don't suck that come with a big discount vs Evoke stuff, they are getting those VERY STRONG effects for free, and the only answer in Modern was Counterspell, which is UU and can't be held up early? While Fury was the biggest offender, Grief and Solitude are both awful, and the Green one completely invalidates a lot of decks, which again shouldn't be happening if you're designing your format well. I don't like unanswerable answers that don't cost mana, maybe I'm weird?
