Lift / scratching arc is for walking the cup, if you learn how to walk the cup with the continued current (no pulse), it will turn out way more consistent and overall a better looking weld

walking the cup is a good technique

I will say this I bought this little welder a week ago and there is something about the Arc and bead appearance on stick that I have never seen on Machines costing 10 times more. Haven't tig with it yet so no comment on that yet

The lift arc is harsh man! Having to change to tungsten out after the weld is done with, still runs great though 👍🏽

scratch start is a little easier on the tungsten; but high frequency starts are the best

Where did you get the torch with gas quick connect? Thanks.
