Everest Base Camp Trek Without a Porter (I struggled) | act two
We are trekking to Everest Base Camp, but with a bit of a twist - we do it all by ourselves. No flights, no guides, and no porters. After starting our journey in Salleri, in this second act we rejoin the ‘official’ EBC trail. We walk from Phakding, to Namche Bazaar, to Tengboche, to Dingboche - all while I carry the full weight of my gear, embracing the challenge of a porterless journey that pushes me beyond my limits.
Join me on this Everest trek full of stunning Nepal scenery, while also paying tribute to the incredible porters who make trekking in these remote Himalayan regions possible. Oh, and get ready for some real talk on the mental and physical struggles faced along the way, too.

please tell me about ittttt
I also trekked to Everest Base Camp without taking a flight. It took me 12 days, from October 16th to 27th, 2022, to complete the EBC trek. Additionally, I successfully crossed Cho La Pass during that trek. This was my second trek, with my first being to Tsho Rolpa Lake.

Thanks for taking us along the hike and highlighting efforts of porters.🙌
When you decide to push through it's always an instant regret but when we reach the destination it is one of the most amazing feelings. Another beautiful edit and narration. ❤
The soft music blends so well with your personality and the landscape. Can't wait for act three.
15:13 the hotel owner is correct, a major portion from Namche to Tengboche is fairly flat followed by a steep incline. I was about to make the same mistake when I was there just a month back. There main trail is not there in maps.me. But hey, a missed trail is a great story ✌🏻
Thank You for getting this out sooner than later! I am really enjoying your trek!! And don't feel bad if you have to spend an extra day or two at a tea house you are on your trek not on someone else's timeline relax and enjoy and don't forget to stock up on the snickers bars!! 🥰
what a beautiful narration, edit, shots and Thank you for taking along.

Thanks for the immersive experience!! Would love to know more on how to prepare for the hike, things to take, insurances to buy and permits to obtain. Would appreciate a short video covering all the aspects of your trip in terms of planning the whole thing out.
Love watching your vlog! I am in awe of your courage and strength and I am happy Oskar is with you for the journey!❤
Your videos are beautiful! Thanks so much for listing your camera gear. Been looking at the s5ii lately. Your footage looks amazing. Would love to know if you’re shooting in a log profile and if you’re doing some color grading or if these are colors from a standard profile in camera. Thanks so much! Can’t wait to see more. I’m binging your old videos now ❤

Hi Flora, If I would be you trekking or hiking, I would avoid drinking tea. Pros of pure organic tea are: anti-infalmmatory, provides anti-oxidants and relaxes body temporarily (by opening up arteries) Cons of tea: Contains caffeine, which increases blood pressure, deprives sleep, increases heart beats or can cause irregular heart beats, shortness of breath, and is also bad for kidneys and liver etc. Many people get addicted to caffeine because when you stop taking it, migraines will hit you hard. Tea also contains tannins, which blocks absorptions of proteins (if consumed), iron, zinc and calcium. It also causes vitamin B1 defficiency, which in turn causes anxiety. Conclusion: If you must drink tea, do not drink just before or right after the meals (drink 2-3hrs later). Loose organic green tea is better than black tea because it contains less tannins. Also, if using tea bags, they must be bleach free. Only use purest water available to make tea. Drink tea in it's purest form as well (No milk, no additives, no herbs etc).
brave and strong girl and as well as very sweet and lovely too...lots of love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

The Nepalese people make a living by being porters and guys for western trekers You should respect that and hire a porter and a guide.

Agree. And it’s also unlawful to do it without a guide. I understand the courage it took to do this trip but it’s not ethical or responsible to share this trip without local Nepali services.
Flora, why don't you try Makalu Base Camp next time? Way more raw.
which app u used to get the map ?
The Sherpa people have special genetics to help them live effortlessly in the mountains.
J’oserais jamais le faire, ducoup j'adore vous regarder le faire 😊 merci

Pourtant rien de compliqué pour un humain "normal" , effectué en 2019 ainsi que bcp d'autres treks..
How did you trek to basecamp without a porter? I thought it was law to go with a licensed guide and porter as of april 1 2023?

Hi I would like to do this trek in October. I read online also on a Nepal government website that a guide is mandatory. It is not true?
If you didn't go to Khumjung and directly go to Namche- Tengbuche it would take 4-5 hours. 😅
Just love your vlogs❤️💝 based on positivity, pureness and a lot of entertainment, your content is just amazing❤️ would love to host you in pakistan in our house, lots of love from Pakistan❤️
Hello Oskar!

Part 3??
I wonder why you chose to hike the usual Tengboche route as there is a much more impressive high trail on the other side of the valley. The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail offers vastly more amazing views high across the valley, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Only come down via Tengboche, makes absolutely no sense to hike the same low trail twice when there is a superior alternative available. You did not even have a guide to force you (they have no imagination) and could have walked any better route you have available.
U : He is my Boyfriend Oscar: I am ? 🤔 U : Are You ?🤨 🤣🤣Lol ❤

Poor donkeys😢
Do you really need to take those meds?
@normantoth350
4 күн бұрын
No and diamox is only needed if you experience bad symptoms. For the vast majority of people the EBC trek is doable. Just prepare before and be fit, don’t push over your limit, go slow, acclimatize, stop and descend if you feel really bad, eat well and drink a lot of water, eat garlic a lot. I’ve done this trek twice and I can’t see any reason to take meds before the trek.
🎉 Nice video. I hope in the future, my Small Travel Channel can grow yours. Maby you have some tips? 😢
How come has it become so boring after your greater Pakistani's vibes ?
