Everest Base Camp Trek | 4K Documentary | A Walk Amongst Giants

Follow me into the high-altitude heart of Nepal and on the spectacular Everest Base Camp Trek.
🏔️ B o o k T h i s A d v e n t u r e : followalice.com/adventure-tri...
Witness the everyday moments, challenges and unmatched beauty of this Himalayan adventure. 8 days that will push every one of us to the edge of our limits and into the shadow of Mt Everest. Rather than doubling back the way we came, we will end the trek with a bang with a soaring helicopter ride across the Himalayas.
The Everest Base Camp Trek is the classic Nepal trek.

    Thank you! Really appreciate the awesome support! I shot with a Panasonic GH5 mounted on a DJI gimbal. I only recommend this set up if you are 100% focused on filming. It is extremely heavy and tiring to carry at high altitude. It also means that you cannot use trekking poles as both hands are in use. I would recommend a GoPro to most people. This allows you to relax and it won't exhaust you. Drone is a DJI Mavic mini. However the shots in the mountains are taken from the helicopter and not a drone!

    Your video is wonderfully made. It has captured many great sceneries. It would be great if you have completed Everest Base Camp on day 8. I love that iconic rock, EVEREST BASE CAMP 5364M. There is always another chance on your trip in November, 2022.

    Did any of you require diamox for altitude? Nice video. Thanks

  • @FollowAlice

    @FollowAlice

    4 ай бұрын

    Around half of the group took diamox, me included:-) Diamox is a preventative medicine, so you take it during the trek before the onset of any ams symtoms! I didn't experience much altitude sickness personally. Besides the mildest headache. Our group were generally fine. However some folk we met did have symptoms and one or two had to turn back. Have a read of our blog here: followalice.com/knowledge/altitude-sickness-on-the-everest-base-camp-trek It details what to expect with altitude sickness on the EBC Trek. Hope it helps! Also, if you want to climb with Follow Alice, feel free to check out our itineraries here: followalice.com/adventure-trips/everest-base-camp

    One has to keep in mind that EVERYTHING from Monjo onward to Kala Patthar had to be hand carried (before helicopters). It's truly amazing these villages even exist, much less thrive due to that fact alone.

    Flying to Lukla is nog the only way to get there. Back in 1990 i took a bus to Jiri and walkes from there. Takes a bit longer, but a beautifull trip.

    If you go in the spring the trails will be completely jammed you're not only have The. Tourest To deal with they'll also be all the hikers going out to the Himalayan mountain peaks along with all their Porters and mule and Yak trains carrying tons of supplies literally , it's probably best to go in the early fall , it's still not that cold down low but you don't have as many people on the trails
