This will be my last video about them. Thanks to them I got to know and be interested in ice dancing. They were cute and beautiful, the best couple. I really loved so much. I sincerely hope their new lives will be wonderful. Thank you.

These were my favourite pair. They didn't just skate. They SOLD a beautiful story, time after time. I wish that when I was 12 I would have had the same opportunity to dance with someone like evalina.

Einfach nur wunderschön. Aber wie ich sehe, hat Ilja eine neue Partnerin. Schade. Ich dachte Evelina und Ilja sind die Olympiasieger im Eistanzen 2026 oder 2030. Was Evelina und Ilja schon als Kinder auf das Eis zaubern, ist EINMALIG SCHÖN.

I discovered the videos of this talented pair during the miserable days of the Covid lockdowns. So uplifting!! They mesmerise me in a way only Torvill and Dean have done previously ; I want to share every step, every expression, every interpretation of the music and the story .... City of Dreams is my absolute favourite, I return to wat h it frequently. I was a bit fearful that Evalina would soon grow too tall for Ilya; they were perfectly matched at this stage but she is actually 3(?) years younger..... I know Ilya now dances with a new partner (without the special magic he created with Evalina). Does anyone know what Evalina is doing now?

From an article online it was said that Evelina was growing too big for Ilya (he has since grown taller) so Ilya was partnered with a younger smaller girl.Evelina it seems did not find another skating partner.Ilya is about 2 years and 4 months older than Evelina,their birthdays 29th March 2006 and 8th August 2008.
