He was AFK and probably only orbiting so he just orbited his way back to Chance. And he didnt drop velocity, Chance activated his AB.

Check right before he dies, he changes direction and drops from 1k/sec to 0 after burning back in the direction of chance. This is around the same time he abandons his drones and launches new ones.

Step 6: Bask in the glory of blowing up a fan. I want to say you're a bad person for killing a fan but then, he clearly needed a special delivery of torpedoes to teach him why it's bad to rat with Chance in system.

I stuck my head out of the airlock today, stuck out my tongue, and I tasted 0.01/(-1/12) more moisture and equal parts saltiness... his tears have traveled far and wide.

Ah, fun! That just reminds me of when I had a Wingspan member burn out their scram holding my Venture in place. I managed to get away with only shield damage. Good times! WiNGSPAN is still my fave munitions delivery corp!

Good tips man, the one about absolute movement input system. Very helpful on navigating while cloaked to gank.

I won't lie, I would flip shit if I saw Chance decloak on grid. Wingspan videos are my favorite Eve videos. As someone who understands the way of things, I would be glad to become content. Any real Wingspan fan would understand this. Never consider yourself exempt from Delivery just because you are a fan. That alone would make ME want to Deliver to you, and I know it would Chance an even bigger itch to do so. Keep up the good work, Wingspan. Maybe we will bump each other out of cloak and have a drone party, soon o7

Rip the afterburner that burned out and the cloak that took heat damage

didn't do vni ratting but did do some Ishtar stuff. that's a fairly reasonable fit for the goal.

Anime Summit booster Fit is entirely unnecessary. 100mn and MAYBE some purger rigs if guristas and you're fine.

The fit was ok for earring, but when you enter system I would be bouncing between seven pre saved safe spots til you go away. :-)

am I missing something or were you using em torps on the expl hound???? he would have had 50% resist but your hits would be much bigger I think.

Haydies Elarik you get a Max 50% bonus to damage with explosive while 50% resists cuts your damage in half. You would do 75% of the damage you would do with unbounded EM vs 0 resist.

well it's 15% per lvl of cov ops - so 75%. Seems like a big bonus to give up.

Haydies Elarik Even at 75% bonus you would deal 175 * 0.5 = 87.5% of the damage that EM would do considering resists. The 50% vs 0% resist difference is really big.

He's using an over sized prop mod. I haven't ratted much myself, but the idea with Ishtar and VNI ratting is that those rats don't track for ass. Orbit them with no sig at MWD speeds and all you need is that medium shield booster.

Chance would have had to warp off to maybe survive.

That's not really an amazing fit by any means, but it's cheap and it gets the job done. Besides, it's just a VNI, it's only temporary until you get into an Ishtar.

theres a known glitch where eve for some reason gets set too 0% volume in the windows mixer try checking that

Yeah, bizzare fit. Shoulda armor tanked with an armor rep and resistance modules. Then cap stuff in mids/rigs if cap is too low... otherwise drone speed and drone tracking stuff. Of course, an AB on there, too.

Dastreus it's not uncommon to shield tank a VNI/Ishtar for ratting. 2 LSEs and oversized AB. 4x DDA and omni tracking enhancers in the lows.

Do you ever use bombs or do you just not like them as much?

Typically I don't run bombs, since I have a probe launcher and cloak in the high slots with three torpedo launchers. However, recently I have been experimenting with only using 2 torpedoes, and equipping bombs. If it works out I will post about it!

Maybe you should consider writing down an anti-delivery manual. I am sure it will get much more popular than the how to delivery one.

How did you target those two rats?? Some keybind?

I have +2 autotarget on. There's a setting where your ship can automatically target anyone who targets you, up to 5 ships I think. It's a bad option to use for like organized PVP, because you end up targeting your own logi and random stuff. But for solo ganks I find it useful to pick off drones or be more aware of new ships on field

I assumed based on his armor damage his armor was vaporized, and that with a permarun shield boost tank he would have a huge EM damage hole.

Even with the polarized torps and i am assuming here your high skills in SB usage that would have given you a huge boost to your dmg along with the fact it was a shield VNI but that all beside the point Nice kill dude.

That is a ratting fit for a vni thats works well due to the oversized AB he is basically speed tanking it. will never get hit by the rats.

100mn AB, with 700+ drone damage. Orbit a structure @ 40-50 km and let the drones do the rest. I guess the 100mn keeps the NPCs shooting at you and you can Sig tank them. Most of the frigs won't catch you either. It's a cost efficient ship that is great for null ratting, as you don't have to worry about ammo. Very low tank, if you can hit it.

This is a bad ratting fit. My fit is similar, but with capacitor rigs, omnidirectional tracking enhancers in 2 lows and DDA's in 4 lows, and an EM resistance amplifier (for Sansha null) and large shield extender tech 2. 100mn monopropellant enduring AB of course

That is an Absolutely normal fit for drone land ratting. Speed tanked.

Depends on the rats. If the rats do mostly kinetic or explosive damage, then it's better to stick with shield tank because of the resists.

Bad fit for ratting. Normal ratting fits are shield buffers.

Using explosive torps would have been bad since he was tanked for explosive damage (because the rats were angels), so using EM was actually probably doing way more damage than using even the boosted explosive damage, now the not holding point... yeah

how to hold point when the VNI is faster? it just messed up by turning around, looked like he was afk until he hear the low hitpoints warning then reacted

The VNI fit is normal for ratting, because 100ab could decrease damage while not increase signal. He is truely AFK, which 4th pointer from rats is the only reason he lost most of his Armor. Personally I do not feel this fight is funny enough.

You can also shield buffer tank a VNI with 2 LSE and an oversized AB.

That's the correct fit. You can orbit a haven like that no prob and it allows you to fill the lows with DDA and drone tracking, a drone nav in the 4th mid.

I would say a good 60% of my ganks back in the day were AFKers. EvE players.....Bob went afk....Don't be like Bob!! AFK in station fools that is EVE rule number 1 Do not fly AFK. Here endith the lesson

Hmm I might sound very opinionated but to me your kind of pvp is same as High sec gankers. I bet if you are in a ship that actually requires flying or module management in PVP you will fail. The only satisfaction you guys get or anyone who watches these vids get is the same satisfaction when a some one ganks a freighter or a PVE ship in high sec. The above mentioned is the exact reason Your corp or your alliance can never compete in any EVE tournaments as what you do is Not PVP.
