Why do you do it the hard way ???? Just pinpoint what station the hauler dock and w8 on udock whit battleship and heavy scram.... In battle ship you can take your sweet time killing the hauler loot it and then reset the agro by docking.... Why the fuck whud anybody do it this way???

@@joesphtesla4257 Its CCP so they are lazy coders that mean that NPC will allways dock in same station in the system. All you need is to watch where it warp from belt then you write that info to notepad and boom every time you visit the system you know where to w8. Its same as folowing player you can easili pin point the station from deep scan.

I know this video is old but the comments are hilarious. Most of these people either hate the game that they've never played or play with zero understanding of the mechanics. 1: These are NPC factions, Concord doesn't give a shit! 2: The ship is a tier 3 Gallente destroyer. Check the ship tree button on your toolbar! 3: If EvE bores you why are watching videos about it ?

Yeah If you badly need the isk- sell the boxes. If you dont really need the isk -open the boxes. Sometimes the box drop Rorq skins which sell for a good price and also faction/storyline mining modules which can be very profitable.

At one point i was really broke, and my last resort was to get in an ibis to mine some ore to get a small bit of isk. However, one site i went to was empty and had nothing apart from pirates and a weird serpentis hauler 200km away. after 10 minutes of strategic warping and attempting to get to the NPC, i killed it and was suprised to find it had a mining laser upgrade worth 20 million isk. only 2 warps from jita.

As interesting as that was, it was a little painful to watch, due to the way you use your Dscan. Here's a friendly tip: You don't have to right click every thing to look at it and then click on the dscan. Set your dscan angle to 15 degrees or something, hold down your DScan hotkey (V by default I think) and just click on things in space or in the overview that you want to scan. Your camera will align to the item automatically and dscan will scan it. If there are multiple belts near the same planet, warp to that planet, hold V again and just click on all the belts around you in order. Done. You can also use this method with the solar system map. (Hold V and click on the moons and other icons, and you'll see the cone representing the dscan angle snap to the correct direction, and the icons that are in Dscan field of view will be highlighted in green) Hope it helps you find and kill miners faster. o7 !

For book marks you can use the first person view trick, Dscan will align out the front of your ship in this view so all you have to do is align to your bookmark and rescan for each one. I would love for them to make it easier to scan bookmarks, but for now this is how I do it.

Not long back I saw a vid where an NPC kept on attacking the player even when cutscene had started; now they are hauling ore as if there is no tomorrow.

Never thought you could actually solo these in high-sec. Could be a really good way to make money if you get lucky with the boxes.

I couldn't see myself getting into this game but looking at someone else play is pretty neat I mean I mainly admire the background scenery it's amazing

We started doing this purely to stop NPCs clearing belts for our guys, ended out paying for an Astrahus and parts. Well worth it. Though, your vid def inspired more adventurous farming once we realised there was a lot more on offer than the crap skins lol.

I havent tried yet, but I would try the hecate first and see how long it would take to burn thru its tank. The other t3ds like the confessor or the svipul might be more suitable if the hecate doesnt work

have you tried the instadocking trick? wait at the station the hauler leaves from..take it out real fast-loot and redock..ive only heard of it, skilling atm to do it soon

how do you remove the center camera lock when viewing your surroundings? when I let go the right click on the mouse, the camera center back on my ship.

If you look to the left of the capacitor you will see three icons. The top icon is the tactical camera. Click on that one and you will be able to remove the lock.

I can't break the Badger before fleet lands, all other T1 haulers melt fast enough. Base resists are not very high but i can't break the shield, any ideas (which don't include expensive magstabs or implants)? The other T1 haulers are no big problem.

I have tried to take on the defense fleet with some success then I got a response fleet comprised , not of frigates, but cruisers and battleships! So it is best to find ways to avoid the response fleet.

Would using Polarized Light Neutron Blasters be benificial? I’m seeing 1132DPS and 1438Volley

The ore disappears into void. Not sure if that lack of demand was the reasons or one of the reasons for their introduction though

I didn't consider the possibility that taking NPC miners and haulers down could cause local shortages in minerals... maybe it could be worth trying to see if regular attacks on NPCs increases the sell value of resources.

well if you dont know allready but npc haules seem to dock and undock in some player citadels now. it might makes it easyer to hunt.

Haha. Npc corps are fun. Especially in null. The tank is crazy. The logi was even crazier.

90* scans are not very good unless you're trying to determine where someone's safe spot is, or which scannable sig someone's in before probing them down. 5* is best for checking celestials, and tracking camera (shift+c to toggle on and off) makes pointing the scan as easy as clicking the celestial on your overview. Other than that bit, liked the video. o7

A "deep" safe is one that cannot be d-scanned from any celestial. They used to be ones that couldn't be d-scanned from anywhere (made by e-warping caps in siege I think?) but they're all gone now.

you can seriously speed up the scanning. All belts surround a planet. Warp to planet, then you can see each belt - hold v and click them. You will auto look at it and scan at the same time. Use a 5 degree scan.

Ok I’m gonna ask a dumb ass question... how do you tell the diff between the npc’s and others?

This isnt a event. They are just npcs that spawn in a system and mine in the belts.

Standing hit isn't that bad. You need 800+ dps to break the less tanky haulers, not sure if a single alpha can push that.

C rus It depends on how soon you need isk. If you need it fast just selling the crates is the best course of action. Most of the time you will get cheap skins that dont sell quickly and for much. If you can wait and dont need the isk right now opening the crates can give a small chance to get rare mining modules that can get up 500 mil or more depending on the market rate.

Kishi, if you are talking about US military, particularly the Army or Marines, don't count on having much free private time for the first year or more of your enlistment. The Navy would probably also keep you busy. Maybe you will have the free time if you go Air Force. After basic, you will be going to schools for your MOS -- and you will still have cleaning and guard details and PT sessions in between your studies, in addition to keeping your gear and quarters spotless. When you get out of the schools, you will still be a "f---ing useless noob" -- being assigned to various details in your "free" time. After that, you may have free time in the evenings -- if you don't get snagged to fill in for some detail, because another guy was absent, or some NCO suddenly decides it is time to give the quarters or some area of the base a thorough cleaning. Most guys that are not assigned evening or weekend details make an effort to get away from their quarters and their unit's area during their free time -- so they don't get snagged to fill in on some unexpected detail. After you get a few years in, and gain some rank, it gets a little better.

quixter11 I will have around 4 hours free time, my MOS (armor Crewman) has OSUT, so I won't have any classes afterwards, yeah I can get cleaning detail etc, but my friends who enlisted into the same mos are on Xbox for around three hours a day. I no longer plan on playing this game though, it is toxic.

Its not concord that comes kill you. It is a faction specific response fleet. the time it lands on grid seems to vary though.

don't know what they've done with the AI but i landed in a belt with a hauler that was slowly heading towards a venture. as i ab'd towards it, it suddenly turned away from the venture, warped to a station and docked up... the only other hauler i had killed had been a different corp about 10 systems behind me, so that's a bit unfair of ccp

They do dock up in stations sometimes. If they do that, they also tend to undock from the same station. You can kill them there as well.

No just their response fleet. I don't remember if you go suspect or not. If you do other players can shoot you, so be careful of that.

I just like killing the defense fleets which show up in a few seconds. Flying a golem.

These are npc mining fleets, not human players, so concord does not respond to the attack.

I'm thinking it's the same general reason the pirates come after the player miners and not the NPC versions. Shooting a NPC miner is PVE not pvp

the Sansha rats be like: thats when we knew that we f***ed up

Drop combat probes. Scan each planetary body till you find npc's, each has its own belts. When you find them, scan till you can warp on one, and wait. I do this in a nightmare, and i can get in, pop the hauler, loot, and get out all within a couple minutes, no need for all the hunting

That's why we love Eve, there is always something new and humbling about every encounter and path. I have never been bored playing it, apart from mining, mining is a gruelling necessity.

They are npcs. Dealing with the response fleet is the penalty.

So, under 500DPS. Any idea how much more DPS you'd need to take a T2? Thinking of trying this with my alpha :)

Hrm... maybe not.. looks like the best I can do is going to be significantly short of the necessary DPS. Best alpha fit I can find is 100DPS short of your cold DPS, and you're overheating. Still, thanks for showing it. Don't see many people trying these.

I get around 835 dps in Sharpshooter mode and with the guns overheated. That is enough dps to gank a t1 hauler and get out before the defense fleet can point me. I think we need more dps to kill a t2 hauler before the defense fleet shows up. I am think a Attack BC.

I know i'm late to the party, but if you want a high DPS alpha fit, try the Naga with blasters. mine gets nearly 900dps heated; shreds T1 haulers in 5 volleys with more than enough time to warp out (make sure you're aligned first). An omega fit Naga can drop 1500dps heated with polarized blasters firing void, which i think should be enough for T2? Maybe? Downside is its kinda slow

The mining fleet is made up of npcs, not real players. So concord looks the other way. lol

As long as your fleet dps is around 1k dps you can take them down like this. I did it with a few friends and it was very fun. They haulers drop strong boxes and in those strong boxes you have a chance to get skins/faction mining upgrades/faction mining drone blueprints.

No, I get that, but it's just painfully obvious that you're just moving from 'room' to 'room'. Elite: Dangerous did a really good job of it, where as you move, your relative point of view can slightly differ or change. 'Cuz you know. You're in a ship that can jump many light years.

@@Synnkai it actually does change with every system as your point of view shifts around the various nebulae and stars. you can actually turn on lines in space that will show your plotted route from star to star, you can actually see each system as a star in the sky... it takes more than one or two systems to make a big difference as you are moving small distances relative to the huge world. but each system is definitely unique and the skybox represents your position in space relative to the visual items

Makes me miss this game... well.. back in the day anyway... before they made it easy mode crap.
