​@@ZafrielDante Biggers ships are strong, durable, able to use more modules than smaller ones. The main catch is, they're slower and easier to hit. Everything in New Eden is a double-edged sword. In Eve, every item trades one stat for another, allowing every item to have its own use. Not only does this keep economy healthy, it allows for a wide range of play-styles. Course, I understand that it's not for everyone. I can see how it might stunt progression. Though, for a sandbox game like Eve, it works for many and doesn't work for others. It has pros and cons.

I've squealed as loud during a game trailer. The arm flexing and engine igniting work perfectly to convey how the capsuleer/ship connection 'Feels' - I love this.

Those are some pretty insane data cables plugging into that capsuleer's nervous system.

I was always admiring Eve's lore. It is extremely well thought out, dark, exciting, everything fits so nicely. It's a match for some of the best SciFi books I've ever been reading.

Very nicely done. That should be an optional in game animation every time we activate a ship.

delonewolf i would say... the Suns. They are out on testserver, and they showed the new graphics and experience of them on fanfest2017, and they truly are amazing. From now on i going to have as many battles there as i can... although i might loose more, being distracted by its beauty. Also... they are redesigning Ships. They showed the new Vexor base... with animated turrets "coming out of the shell", effects of heat-sinks opeing etc. It is going to make Star Citizen look old. And... how about your very own, concord ships? :D (I just returned from Fanfest btw)

This is just an amazing trailer. I'm so glad I got in to this game. I experienced the highest highs and the lowest lows that I have ever experienced in a game in new eden. 5/7

Happy to hear you love the game m8. 10 years ago I had battles in EVE, that changed EVE to this day. I remember these times, and I completely understand what u mean with highs and lows. EVE is more then a game, its an experience you can spend decades (10+ years) still experience new things in. Once u feel that for the first time, whey u are a part of something bigger then a 10vs10 or 5vs5 like other games, u will be hooked :)

yea basicly making the whole respawning and beeing immortal thing part of the Gameplay and Lore. On the other Hand... if you think about it.... that makes the Capsuleers a group of mostly psychopaths and roughless Killers ...... wich adds another whole layer to the thing ......

This gave me such incredible chills o.O Especially the visual of the Maulus engines firing looked beast!

I missed this video when I first started EVE online because I didn't know I wouldn't be able to see it again and because I pushed a button by accident. Thank God for the internet and thank you for sharing! Stupid EVE online not letting you access this video after skipping it.

Ironic, using the heart as a metaphor for a gaming population that is often considered heartless.

Thanks for uploading this. My game decided to only show me the first half and make me stare at the glowing orange capsule while listening to the rest of it.

You guys never fail at making the most epic videos for your game. They are all simply amazing.

this trailer is achingly good! So glad CCP moved back to the more cinematic style adverts.... the audio is epic too! 10/10 by far the best game i have ever played.

The heartbeat gives me so much of the chills and goosebumps.

When he flexed, and the engines ignited - I came. Then when he launched out of the station, and that loud, pulsing, digital sounding heartbeat pumped in perfect rhythm to denote that the ship and pilot are one living being... I came again.

This got me started in eve. More trailers like this and more brand new content and ships for players is all you need to do.

It looks like it's going to take on a style and budget similar to that of Game of Thrones, except in space, which given the nature of political dynamics between players of the game, actually makes a lot of sense.

The pod's shape itself vaguely resembles an heart.

This has to be the answer. I originally recorded myself in an Imicus for KZread video, but when CCP put it in "This is EVE" they changed it to an Astero!

Super cool trailer, guys! I'll admit, I liked the old, brief explanation of the Eve gate, and the origins of the empires, but I think new players will like the focus being on THEM, lol. I guess if they're interested, they can always read about the history and lore of the game on the Wiki.

I would love to have turret sounds like when that Revelation fires o.O

Yep, just wish it could be the actual turret sound, as most weapons really lack any real oomph in this game right now after hearing them a billion times.

Wow, good looking trailer. Pretty sure it was the Dominion trailer that sold me on EVE, though it's been a while since I played, probably stopped not long after the Fountain War. Been tempted to come back again, but know that I'll get sucked right back in again...

Im disapointed, the old intro was really good and introduced the basic lore just fine! I guess the new one is better suited to make new players feel like they are "the one"!

Yeah but lore in EVE is irrelevant almost. Players don't need to know any of that to know what you are. It's nice, but the point is to tell the player exactly what they can achieve and how, not a history lesson.

I though so too, then after Fanfest I came home and made my gf that played only for some time watch this and first thing she said was: "oh, so capsuleers control the ship with their mind! It wasn't clear before". Small lore win.

only been gone 2 weeks and I miss it already

Ive actually only started playing Eve a few days ago as an omega. I must say I'm really surprised by the level of updates the game still has after all these years. A few years ago I tried the game but it was all a little overwhelming for me. Now everything seems more intuitive and modernised. Real great job from the developers. Oh and btw, people saying the community is heartless havn't played other online survival games. This community is so helpful, I'm truly amazed by it. So for everyone trying to get into the game but are put off by whatever: you really don't need to. Just try it out for free as an 'alpha' and see if it's something for you!

Michael Koelewijn yeah people think the community is heartless. but to be honest it will always be if you are the enemy. friends in eve are magnetudes of times better that in any other game. because this universe is built upon trust and mutual interest. alliances can only benefit from helping people out. and people can only benefit from helping the alliance out.

Lore says there's a compartment in the pod for a set of clothes to be stored in so that the capsuleer has something to put on when they decant.
