That was genius tho. Say what you want about amy lee (because all of its gonna be great anyway cause she is amy lee) but shes thorough and awesome in general

...Do...do people really hate this album??? And the very same people say they stopped being fans to them because they "ruined" their favorite songs from the old days? SOME PEOPLE aren't true fans to Evanescence apparently.

I actually think this is their best album. Amy's voice had always been breath taking but it has really evolved. The orchestra compliments it perfectly. It's not rock anymore but it's so much more beautiful.

I try to explain peoples problem. Most of the fans start loving this band with the first album. It was a synthesis of Nu Metal sounds and Gothic, so it was something different. It was nostalgical, melancholical, dark and powerful. The Sound and the voice... a great combination. Now they split it. There is no metal inside, no rock. Only a fantastic voice and very good vocals. But it is only the half of Evanescence. We saw this kind of evolution with other bands before: Linkin Park, Deftones, System of a Down. They changed their concept. They are all still high class musicians, but it is not the same music. When you walk another road, you will meet other people. Not every fan will accept such a decision. I am a fan of Evanescence, because I love the music and especially the vocals. I like the last album, but the originals were much better in my opinion... because THAT was 100 % Evanescence.

Rising Thunder I love this album, they did the old songs more beautiful and classical.

The synthesis remix is just a natural progression, it's exactly the path she should be taking. Her voice is so powerful, so versatile, and her range so broad, this version seems like what I've been hearing in my head. Her voice is, for the lack of a better term, operatic/ symphonic naturally, I think it's as close to perfection as is humanly possible. The way she sings, implies that her voice is an instrument to be played, like the piano or a guitar, and she certainly can, her talent commands my emotion, my thoughts, my imagination like no other artist has ever been able to. I've spent hours listening to anything I could find with her singing, her voice consumes me, in a sense, it commands my attention, I simply can't get enough of the sound of her voice in song.

I don't think this is a remix. I'm pretty sure jts exactly how she intended the songs to sound as she stated that herself and the synthesis album is just thr rawest unedited, unmanipulated version of her voice and thr instruments

I grew up with Fallen and it was one of my first CDs, but Synthesis is just better.

Absolute masterpiece. I know I'm saying it for every song but I genuinely mean it. I absolutely loved the first version, but I'm loving this just as much.

i love all of these new remakes, i think they sound more mature and so goddamn beautiful.

It's incredible the amount of people with so much wax in their ears! I can't avoid listening this album over and over again, finding all the differences between the old songs and these new versions. The arregments, the background vocals, Amy's voice and her vocal nuances. It's a whole new world for me... so glad they decided to remake their songs.

She sang it every time she performed it live on the Synthesis Tour, including the official DVD / live album. Honestly I think it was a “typo” on the Synthesis studio recording (aka this version), she might’ve included the wrong lyric during the mixing/editing process and either didn’t realize it or realized it too late. 😅

I was at the Synthesis concert...(And I've seen Dolly Parton, and Cher, and Bryan Adams)....and this was the best concert of my life! The live orchestra added so much dimension...It was indescribable...Such a massive bout of sound--with Amy...it was pure heaven.

Annabel Causey I love the acoustic songs they did. .were just as good as originals but a softer sound so I expected synthesis to sound that way too but I see it's a bit of a different sound ..

"we've all fallen, but at the same time we're not broken, there is the hint that we are going to get up again" thematically Bring me to life has almost the same meaning as My hear is broken, and she says "Frozen Inside" I can't sing this song with the word "Broken" and instead I sing it as "Frozen" as it stays thematically consistent with the sentence Lee said about choosing the name for the album Fallen, and it echoes back to Bring me to life I love this rendition of the song. Too bad it doesn't have all the lyrics into them, like the part "release me, i can't hold on", it's just soo beautiful

This album is just... wow! I have truly grown up with Evanescence, being born in 2003.. Amy was and is a huge inspiration to me.. My dad had the right idea bringing me up with 'different' and 'weird' music... Always been into metal and rap (2Pac and so on).. Thank you, Dad..

This song brings me to tears every damn time I hear it. Not matter which version, it just gets to me. It's kinda my personal anthem or theme or whatever, when I had to end a certain relationship that meant everything to me. My heart broke recently. I’m no stranger to heartache. But the combination of grieving the loss of covid, knowing it will last for more years to come, and I lost someone I care very much about.

in 30 second you can hear her moving from the low notes to the high notes to something operatic 2:43 to 3:04 with a smooth transition and build up that will keep you on your toes looking up to see were is she going with it, she played her voice like an instrument for real, the way she blind it with the piano, harp, guitars and the rest of the orchestra is phenomenal, she provokes the emotion like no other would. Ladies and Gents this is peak singing and true art work. mark my words the later generations will discover her songs especially this one and lacrymosa and she will be a legend just like Mozart and Beethoven whom she was inspired by their work.
