The new versions of the songs in Synthesis are so strong, the emotion is so intense, I can't help it but shed a tear every time I hear either the ones from the record or from live concert. It is so strong that I am avoiding to watch videos from live concerts of Synthesis, because it's sometimes hard to handle the emotion that overwhelms me... A true masterpiece!!!

For those who might not know, this song was made in remembrance of the Tsunami in Japan. “Save yourself, don’t look back, tearing us apart until it’s all gone”. If I’m not mistaken she was in Japan when this happened, either way this is one of the most intense songs I’ve ever heard.

Wow. Sometimes I forget about the power of Amy's voice but having everything else pretty much stripped but vocals and gorgeous accompaniment, it has blown me away. Seeing it live moved me to tears and this is even better. Just wow.

I feel like Oli heard this song once and then had the melody stuck in his head and wrote a song based off this without realizing.

for real this is something that frustrated me so many times. Id write some melodies and be like ,holy shit this is awesome' then put some lyrics over it and be like ,damn this is coming together perfectly' and then i stumble upon the song i unknowingly and most probably subconsciously replicated and lose all my confidence in songwriting.. 😂

Hands down my favourite song on the album. The piano at the start sends shivers down my spine and Amy's voice, angelic. The whole album blows my mind but this song is everything I hoped for when they announced it!

OMG I LOVE THIS SOOOO MUCH!! I’ve always loved classical orchestra and this mixes so well with all evanescence songs!!

Ohhh this is so beautiful! I love how the original version is so rock and badass, and I'm loving the contrast of the sweetness of this version. So far I'd say it's the one that has changed the most in Synthesis. Absolutely love all that I'm hearing, thank you Amy, thank you so much. I can't wait to get the special deluxe box set of the album so I can listen from iTunes as well!

I've tried so hard to find my favorite Evanescence song, and after so much I came out with five (Cloud Nine, Sweet Sacrifice, Snow White Queen, Your Star and Never Go Back), which I like to call "The Olympus", and the fact that two of them are here makes me so happy.

This is my favourite off the album.

+Hailstorm273 Swimming Home could have been included as is and would have fit perfectly. They played it as part of the encore this fall. I guess they figured, why rework a song that would end up sounding so close to the original?

I got to hear her sing this live last night and omg.. her voice is so pure and powerful. Hearing it here doesn't even give her voice justice compared to hearing her singing it live. Her show with Lindsey Sterling was my first time going to a concert and this was the best first concert experience for me!

the verse lyrics rythm does sound almost nihilist blues. If its subconcious thinking happened to them (eva and bmth) then its so cool coz someone from far away that u had never met before having a shared "mind wave" at a moment. Coz as an artist sometimes u create an image from ur head then some random day u'll see an art that kinda or does looks like what uve created.

I can kinda hear it. The piano and the EDMish beats are similar in pitch and rhythm. You have to sing it though to really catch it. And the vocals are literally the same notes and rythyms in a few sections
