Riddick Bowe was the fastest big heavyweight of his generation. Holyfield was a fantastic boxer but moving from light heavyweight and being able to take so much punishment from natural giants always was a surprise to me

This is only lose of Riddick Bowe which was a pretty close call. I don't think anyone else other than Holyfield could have done it, Riddick Bowe was pretty much George Foreman of 90s era. Big respect for Evander hes a real warrior also all 90s big names Mike Tyson , Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis named Evander Holyfield as best i faced at ringtv.

@@user-nm4nx3hx3q Yep the young one . Brawler and slugger terms are really mixed but if we taking slugger for just heavy punching guy i think George was more of a brawler than slugger as well. Hes defense was never given credit he was grappling a lot , pulling , pushing putting hes opponents on place so he can land , hes outstretched arms were often stopping punches even before they were thrown. George was willing to trade like Ron Lyle match he can just go brawl it out like mad man , idk brawler and slugger often mixed imo.

Evander is an incredible man. Friendly, disciplined, a super hard worker and not intimidated by anyone. He was aggressive, tough, quick and a very good strategist in the ring.

The fan man causing the fight to be stopped for a good while played to Bowes advantage as holyfield was really getting on top and Bowe was already getting really tired. Both great fighters and produced great fights together. 🥊

Both were superb counter punchers.

Конкретно для Холифилда, Боу был неудобен конечно. Большой, бьющий, прекрасной боксирующий в привате и при этом умеющий в джеб был для него проблемой конечно же. Но как боксер, Холифилд все таки был класснее, ну и одержимость и тренировки как у черта, сделали то, что он на равных дрался и побеждал лучших тяжей своего времени. Форман, Мерсер, Мурер 2 раза, Боу 3 раза, Холмс, Даглас, Тайсон 2 раза, Льюис 2 раза, Рахман - это фантастика какаято конечно.

100% correct. Tyson was a Don King money maker. Tyson had the look and drew the biggest crowds. As a boxer, he was vastly overrated. He was a bully, and when his opponent wasn't intimidated, he lost. He was fed a bunch tomato cans like Peter McNeely, who wasn't even a real pro. Tyson ducked Bowe, Foreman, Lewis, Moorer, McCall and Ray Mercer. They all could have beaten him. He only fought Holyfield because everyone at that time thought Evander was done and had heart problems. Tyson, the coward, signed to fight what he thought was a "gimme”. He ducked Holyfield after Holyfield beat Douglas, prior to the heart condition controversy. He only fought Lewis years later because he needed the money. People forget this stuff. Holyfield never ducked anybody. Tyson got knocked out by 5 different guys, and he never avenged one single loss.

The judges where wrong on this fight. Holyfeild took the last 4 or 6 rounds.he had more.punches effectively then bow

Mayweather thing is in 50 professional fights and he fought the best in his weight class is that he was maybe hurt 4 or 5 times in those 50 fights but still dominated them fights. So even If you don't like Mayweather and I never really did myself if you hate on him then your just a hater

I thought Bowe was a good fighter, but he was dirty. Don't blame Gulota for the low blows because he saw it. Everyone else didn't. Bowe tries to hurt you after the bell with cheap shots. Does it a lot when the fighter was getting the best of him. Plus, there are low blows that he gets away with. He just met his dirty match with Gulota 🤷🏾‍♂️
