Evan SINGLETON | World's Strongest Man 2024?

Спорт

USA's Evan T-REX Singleton is being tipped by many to be the 2024 World's Strongest Man.
We take a look back on his TOP 5 Feats of strength.
It was a remarkable break-through year in 2021 for the former WWE Wrestler as he won 2 Giants Live events - The World Open in Manchester & the inaugural Arnold Strongman Classic in Birmingham.
A torn bicep unfortunately curtailed his progress in 2022.
In 2023 he placed 5th at World's Strongest Man. Will 2024 be his year?
Top 5 Feats of Strength:
1. Atlas Stones - The Arnold Strongman Classic, Birmingham
2. Max Deadlift - joins the 1000lbs club - The World Open
3. Car Walk - Vs The WSM in Glasgow at Giants Live Finals
4. Viking Press - The World Open, Manchester
5. Frame Carry - The Strongman Classic - The Royal Albert Hall

There's a few men that I think will be in fierce competition for the title. Singleton I think if he keeps improving could be WSM one day but it won't be in 2022. Stoltman, Novikov, Licis, Shaw, and Mitchell are my main contenders. Then 2023 I think Singleton will have a peaked Kieliszkovski to contend with too. There's just a TON of amazing strongmen right now.

@@ArtemisBumwhistle I'd agree Tom and Martins are the slight favourites without knowledge of the events, but I also think Mateusz, Evan, Novikov, Trey and Maxime have a fair shot at the title as well. Hell Brian has the potential if he can get back to his old form though of course that is unlikely. We may end up with a final where almost anyone out of the top 10 is a legitimate title contender. If I really had to bet on one man to win WSM 2022, before events are known, I'd pick Martins. I don't think he is actually likely to win, nor is anyone, because there's so many contenders now, but I think Martins is the most likely out of anyone to take it. I'm rooting for Mateusz to finally take his title, but with unknown events I think Martins is the best all-rounder in the game right now.

Well, he has beaten anyone but Martins and Mateusz on at least one occasion, this past year. But for Tom, for example, those occasions were off shows. Evan didn't make a WSM final, yet. So maybe the format isn't suiting him as much as the one day shows. Then again, his best performances came after last year's WSM, so maybe he just got better quickly. I don't see him winning it in 2022. He'll have trouble making the final. But if he does make the final, I'd say top 5 is what he's realistically fighting for. Sure, he's someone you could absolutely call a future WSM but we seem to be having a lot of these, nowadays. The field is just deeper than it ever was. If I had to guess (and it's totally a guess), I'd say Martins, Tom and Oleksii fighting for 1-3 and Mateusz, Brian, JF, Trey and Evan coming in behind that.
