Hi Oline! I just love seeing your progress on your wedding dress. That lacing and the cable border in the top are absolutely stunning and I love your idea of using the cable pattern for the straps. I really admire your creativity and your ability to design such a special garment from scratch. Loving all of your other projects as always and didn’t notice too much flair on the armholes of the baby Moby Vest. I also would love to see you do another stash video!

Hi!! I love that I can finally see some real progress too! I was worried about the fit and style of the dress before I was able to lace it up, but now that it's laced up, I'm really happy with the results so far❤️ I'm so happy I'm able to make my own wedding dress completely from scratch! It makes it such a special piece🥰 Thank you❤️ I'll start organizing so I can do another stash video!

Wow, the bodice of your wedding dress looks so cool! All your knits look so great. That moby slip-over looks store bought and its not even blocked! Thanks for inspiring me to cast on the Ingrid. It's my first properly charted knit and I was so worried that I would mess up especially reading the charts on the wrong side. But it's going great! I am not far from connecting in the round and I am so in love with the pattern!! That will not be my only Ingrid! I think the charting ice is broken and next winter I'll try the moby or some other cabled sweater.

Thank you!! I'm really excited about the wedding dress now! I was so worried it would look weird, but I'm very pleased with how it's turning out❤️ I'm so glad you are enjoying your Ingrid Sweater!! You've almost caught up with me😅 Once you learn to read charts, a whole new world of knitting opens up!! Happy knitting!

I love how your wedding dress and skirt are looking! I like the idea of that pretty cable as straps. Your Ingrid sweater is gorgeous! That Carl's cardigan is so wonderful in that color. The stitch definition is just so good in that color. Have a great week❤❤

Thank you so much!! I'm so happy with how well it's turning out! Can't wait to see how the straps turn out❤️ The stitch definition of the Carls cardigan amazes me!! I never thought I'd get such a good stitch definition with merino yarn, but it's great!! It's definitely not my last time using Drops Daisy. Have a great week!

i do a tubular cast on and cast off where you slip purl stitches for two rows if knitting flat or the slip a knit stitch for one round then a purl stitch for one round. It's the italian cast on/off reinforced. It draws the stitches a bit and keeps them from flaring.

I do that too! I just always forget it's called something different than italian bind off/cast on😅

I can picture some blue flowers embroidered where the straps join the front, coming down a bit onto the bodice. (Like a cake decoration!!) That should help it merge well.

Hello Oline, the wedding dress bodice is so beautiful! I love the cables as shoulder straps and I would continue the cables in the front around the decolte line (like maybe on top of the knitted edge) or in a v shape, just an idea and I am sure you will try a few options before deciding the final one!

Hi Oline, I have recently finished the Filsa sweater in Drops Daisy in that exact colour you are working with, I too would highly recommend this yarn, it is really great quality and so soft! I want a sweater or cardigan for myself in this now too.

Oline, your wedding dress is stunning and your ideas are so inspired! My jaw dropped when I saw the bodice lace-up area of it (so beautifully realized) and the sparkly blue-ice color of the pouf skirt. You will be a magical bride and you are knitting an heirloom! (Side non-knitting question: Where have you learned your excellent English? Don't scoff, I mean it. Sadly, I speak only English and I can spot comfort in it. You are lovely to listen to,)

Thank you!! It feels so good to finally have the bodice all laced up! And I'm so happy with how it tuned out! Can't wait to have more progress so I can actually try it on as a dress❤️ We start learning English in first grade in Norway, so I learned a lot through school (13 years of English classes), and I've learned a lot by practicing and through youtube❤️ Thank you!

I love seeing how your winter wedding dress is coming along! If it‘s going to be cold I wondered if you were thinking of some kind of fichu in the neckline? I was reminded of an old pattern called Ginevra‘s Pullover by Amy Polcyn from 2010 that might give you some inspiration (maybe make it removable?!) How are you finding Daisy? I‘ve made a start with mine and find it interesting, quite round and firm, not unlike cotton, a sort of „dry“ feel… but I do really like it. Fortunately, as I already „grew“ my stash with two more sweater quantities… 🤣

Thank you so much!! I think I'm going to make the Augustins no30 to wear on my wedding day, so I'll be able to wrap myself up. But thanks for the other suggestions!! I'll look into it! I think that's a really good description of Drop Daisy, but I think it's super soft once it's knit up! I really like working with it, and it certainly won't be my last time using it!!
