In June 2016, we had a hiking and leaf peeping trip through beautiful Basque Country in Spain.
Trying to find the best surf spots in the region, for just 10 days we brought our surfboards, cameras and some gear to capture some moments of this fun trip.
Physical anthropologists think that modern Basques and ancient Cro-Magnon men share many characteristics and physical traits.
The genetic and ethnic-cultural constitution of the Basques, the remote origin of their language that seems to stem directly from the ancestral memory of the earth and possibly from words, sparks of life fallen from the gods of heaven, allow us to perceive a remote enchanted garden, beyond the barriers of time, inhabited by fantastic and wonderful creatures.
The origin of the language called Euskara, spoken by the Basques, is unknown. It is a pre Indo-European language, totally unique, that shares only a few analogies with Caucasic and Berber dialects.
This film is a collections of sights and sounds from our experience in the Basque Country !

Bilbao is not in the south western Basque Country, it is in the north west.

@@jsm9069 it is in the south western Basque Country, because the french Basque Country (IPARRALDE, in basque literally "the northern part") is the North of the Basque Country. "Euskadi", or the "spanish Basque Country", is the south.

@@DavidArriola The french basque country is on the north east, you must have a look in the map, Bilbao is the north west. If you say Bilbao is the south west, where is Gasteiz? www.eke.eus/es/cultura-vasca/pais-vasco/pais-vasco/view

@@jsm9069 Gasteiz is the Southern West, obv., While Bilbao is the South Western as David stated.,-from Egoalde (literally "South part")-. Then you got Iparralde which is the northern part of it all: Where Bayona´d be the North Western (i.e.) and Zuberoa the Noth Eastern.

Hola, soy de Perú pero mi familia viene del país Vasco, llegaron a Ayacucho en los ultimos años de la colonia, ultima mente me entro curiosidad de ver y conocer los lugares de donde viene mi sangre y una de ellas y creo que la mas importante viene de ahí, espero algun día poder visitar ese lugar y poder aprender del pasado familiar.
