I think the televote should have way more importance. I feel like the judges always vote for someone that's not as good. And they almost always seem to vote for the same person, like last year for Loreen (what tf was that????) and this year for Nemo. The song was not bad but there were better. Like france or croatia

Not only did it change from being a serious Song Contest to be "funny" "crazy" and might I add "weird" to woke nonsense, so many songs are so insanely forgettable. Eurovision was what shoot off the career of ABBA or Celine Dion. A lot of the Winner sometimes have a little bit of a career in their home country but the majority of these people dissapear into obscurity again after their win. Personally I grew up with the Song Contest being a bit weird. But it used to be usually just one or two outlier who were more on the weird side. To me the Song Contest felt like a huge party all over Europe and everyone having fun. Nowadays it's the other way around that the exception is a "normal" song over insanity. I used to love watching the Contest. I cheered over being last (yes, fellow German here) and I enjoyed a lot of the songs... but the more woke it got the more political themes have been shoved in the less interest I've had. Nowadays I barely even notice when it happens. (This year because of the drama sourrounding everything) It's no longer about coming together as Europe, coming together and sing Songs and vote who's best. It has become a show off who is the most Woke and the most insane of them all, and who's political belief is the most important. And who's politics are the most controversial right now.

As an American, I've never seen much of how "woke" (More like sleeping through common sense lessons) Europe is except for maybe the UK, and I haven't even seen anything of Eurovision except for the short clips in this video, but now I want even less to ever go to Europe. These short clips alone are enough to seriously make me question humanity's survival.

"I'm special because I'm a queer" no but this is so tragic actually. The way she literally waits for the applause, and not really with pride or confidence, but with that lurking fragility in her eyes in the second before they start cheering. Like it's so painfully obvious she actually does think that being queer is the only way she can matter and be supported and loved, and being a witch the only way she can have a sense of control or power. Imagine genuinely believing that your sexual expression is the only thing you can offer to the world and you have to rely on the occult for your voice to be heard Cults prey on vulnerable people and make people vulnerable.

Europe culturally in on the downfall trend for about 150 years already. I'm a gay Eurovision fan but I can't stand when the contestants try so hard to be activists and want to be special even in a sea of gay people. To be fair though, other than being the singing Olympics, the appeal of Eurovision is also the spectacle, the weird, the cringe, the over-the-top, the drama, the trashy. You gotta embrace it to be able to enjoy it. Also, btw, the first trans winner of Eurovision competed for Israel back in 1998.

swiss girl here. I didn't watch the ESC and when I heard switzerland won I searched the song. I immediately knew it has to do with something woke - the song is mid. Good on him for sticking by his Christian values and not following the crowd. I’ve always had a bit of fun watching Eurovision over the years and past few years we’ve included our kids. We have a laugh and give our own scores. But this year really lost it with woke ideology, politics and over sexualised dancing. Certainly not a ‘family’ entertainment song contest with crotch masturbation and g-string stripper-like dancers.

As Salvador Sobral said back in 2018 "music is not fireworks" , he won without all of this. My faves were Croatia (was weird but it was good) , Ukraine and Norway. The girl from Israel in my opinion have a lot of courage, she knew what to expect in that situation and she went for it, I mean if was me I would never enter the stage XD! This year’s show was the worst one that I have seen. I usually like watching Eurovision but I can’t say that about this year’s show. It was disturbing. I remember watching it as a family growing up, but I can’t say that it’s a family friendly show anymore. It’s disturbing and disgusting to see Eurovision give a thumbs up to an act that is openly demonic. I think this year’s show was the last straw for me.

There was literally nothing wrong with netherlands. The song was from the genre gabber which is from the 90s and originates in nl and its about the loss of his parents and how you cant run away from pain, but also about the love for Europe. He was disqualified because he made a movement as if he would hit a woman from camera crew because she would not stop filming him even tho he asked her multiple times.

I watched Eurovision live and it was wonderful. The clips shown are horribly compressed, distorting the vocals. The live performances and music videos for each song are quite good. I personally loved Bambi Thug's song, it mixes metal and pop quite well. The harsh vocals are proceeded by a pop-y chorus, creating a striking juxtaposition. I can see how Eurovision wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I personally enjoy Europe's blasé attitude towards sexualized performance. America can be a little too prudish at times. Also Nemo's song was really sweet! I'd imagine Misha couldn't play much without getting hit with a copyright claim, but I recommend checking out the performance and judging for yourself =)

As a woman who likes women (because I don't wanna be associated with the community anymore), thank you for saying what a lot of us struggle to say, because if we are something other than straight now we have to agree and support everything woke people tell us to then hear that our opinions don't matter because we are cis and not trans, non binary, qqthdk+, we went from fearing what society might do to us to fear expressing against indoctrination, what happened to be a singer, an artist, a person who happens to be lgbt instead of an lgby who happens to be a person (if not a fairy or an animal🙄) and then an artist, even the ones who weren't making their whole participation in esc lgbt propaganda (I can't say the ones who aren't lgbt because some might be but we don't know because they don't scream it) had lgbt flags, were exaggeratedly supportive of nemo and bambie because that's the only way they had some chances, 2021 swiss representative Gjon is lgbt but he never made it his whole personality and had the best song from Switzerland of the recent history of esc, sure that year was the ultimate boss esc but this year had better entries than the winner, it's just that now if you don't idolize lgbt you're a horrible person, what happened to opinions, choice, criteria? I know a lot of people aren't ok us with non straight people even if we are just existing and not like the wokes but I've never felt as threatened as I do for not being woke and not falling for their indoctrination, who would've thought countries not voting for their usual allies was gonna be over because of the pressure of the woke, because I'm pretty sure there's a lot more people out there who feel this is wrong, but their careers would be over if they say it

It doesn't matter how hard people try to distance themselves from the LGBTQ+ community (like this woman is trying and failing to do). As long as they exist as gay/lesbian/whatever, people will still hate them and be disgusted with them. Woke or not, hatred is universal and we should be fighting it together.

Each year it gets more and more progressive. My country Ireland, had the most satanic, rainbow shite imaginable, my jaw was on the floor watching it, and I am discussed that we qualified to the final, and finished 6th. In my opinion the show started to take a turn for the worse, the year Conchita Wurst won in 2014. It's supose to be a family show, and I as a 20yr old felt like leaving the room after watching half the acts.

Irish here too. Can't bring myself to watch the Irish entry yet even to critique it. The clips Misha shows are horrifying. It's many years since I watched Eurovision, it seems to have become one long gay prawn show. I notice that Israel finished ahead of Ireland in spite of needing to get six times as many votes from the public as it did from the juries who presumably feared reputational damage.

Some Croatians are getting hate on for being called homophobic for stating the same facts online especially Reddit... Im just tired of this drama. Noone is homophobic we just don't see the point in giving free pass for queer people. And juries vote according to that and want to be seen as woke and progressive and people capitalise on that.. It's supposed to be amusic contest not political. But unfortunately it has always been political sadly.

Among all this chaos I'm glad the contestant representing my country (italy) was at least just a regular young woman and not some mental case. The bar is so low it might as well be in hell.

I’m from Israel, and watching Eurovision was my family tradition , but Never again, it’s not even artistic anymore just way over sexual and gross, and the songs themselves, not even really good (it’s the whole point of the competition 🙄). Another thing, all the people ( the participants and the people at home)who say “boycott Israel “ probably didn’t realize that they are talking about Eden and Israel 24/7, and boycott is to ignore the thing that you are boycotting so why is the obsession 🤷‍♀️

Yeh well, this festival has been a political sideshow for at least 25 years now. People will apparently not distinguish between her and the appalling actions of your government. Also, to boycot is not to ignore, but to break ties. They were calling for Israël to be thrown from the competition. Edit: all of that is really sad, it should be about the music. Eden treatment was simply horrible, the way the whole crowd booed her simply for being Isreali was deeply upsetting, whether you're on Isreal's side or not, it's got nothing to do with her. She has to right to perform, stop bringing politics into it

@@PsychedelicUniverse No, cause progressing has a positive connotation. And there’s nothing objectiverly positive in having more pronouns (that nobody uses actually). It’s not a basic thing like respect for instance. It’s an old world who’s scared to really progress.

Imma be honest, Netherlands were the coolest so far for me. It was such a song to dance to, a bop, really. And he even said he made the song in honour of his dead parents, that was adorable.

I watched Eurovision as well as the two semifinals too. Sweden had a great little number mocking themselves for winning last year and Käärijä sung his song Cha Cha Cha. Yes there were some "special" performances but there were also some great performances too. Every circus needs a clown and well some are more clown than others.

I cannot watch this obscenity. How people allow this kind of behavior not just to happen but be rewarded brings us all one step closer to extinction.

The disqualification of the Netherlands had nothing to do with Israël, nor with any of the performers or delegations. Thats just media BS for ya. (Contex) As far as we know now, it was a collision between the artist and a female journalist/camerawomen, after she was (alledgedly) continiuosly bothering him, just after leaving stage. Though some speculate it was perhaps a permeditated confrontation, the investigation has only just been finished today (may 13th) so full details are not out yet.

Swede here! I was also shocked when I saw how this year’s Eurovision turned out. When I saw that Switzerland waved the non-binary flag in front of the Switzerland flag I was just kinda stunned. My favorites were probably Armenia and Ukraine

I love Eurovision. Seriously, love it. I am looking forward to it the whole year, do parties and all... But 2024 was so nasty, that I really struggled to cope. It is like a best friend died in a nasty attack and nothing was left of her body. The bullying of Israel and their representative especially was so disgusting and un-Europe-like, but there is nowhere to run from this now. Not anymore. The self-righteousness of several of the performers- do not want to remember their names, but Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Netherlands et. al. I am talking of you show how young (ok Greek should know better as she is shady side of 30s ffs) ppl love to think they can bully anybody for their own selfish wants. They play victims while they are the perps. Seriously heartbroken by how the idiotic far woke destroys everything it encounters.

BTW, there are some really good song from ESC 2024, but they all disappeared under the bull that Bambi and her posy brought in. Actually the winner song is pretty good too, just ignore the 'story behind' as those are always pretentious as hell and often alphabet oriented these past few years. I really liked Croatia, Slovenia, Belgium, Norway and Ukraine. There are usually some novelty and fun entries, but they do not make ESC, they are just part of the circus, like clowns are in real circus. Let´s hope they can get back to the ESC normal from before pandemic. Otherwise, it is over alas. BTW, so sorry for Martin Österdahl, he is trying so hard to keep it together and not allow the extremes through, but we live in wrong time. There is such a huge deal of hate targeting him, it is disgusting.

There have been some updates about the 'incident' around the Dutch singer this year: First off, this is what happened, according to a statement from the Dutch broadcasting company: 1. The singer, Joost Klein, left the podium emotionally, which is understandable, as his song was a love letter to his parents who died when he was still young. 2. A Swedish canerawoman decided to go against the agreements and decided to film him. 3. Joost Klein told her to stop filming, but she continued. 4. Joost repeated that he didn't want to be filmed, which she still ignored. 5. Joost got angry and made a 'threatening motion' towards her, but he never hit her, or the camera. 6. The camerawoman filed a complaint to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), who decided to not allow Joost Klein to participate. 7. Joost Klein tried offer to talk things out with the camerawoman and to offer a public apology. Both were declined by both the camerawoman and the EBU. 8. The EBU decided to officially disqualify Joost Klein. Second, the Swedish authorities are now even investigating and the EBU is now likely gonna take legal action.

I was at the Eurovision this year for all live shows. Such was the security threat in Malmö, as well as the Swedish police, police from Norway, Denmark and Finland were in attendance for the duration of the contest. The Israeli entry was advised not to leave her hotel, except to go to the arena, security doubled around the stage as she was due to perform, and she was under constant armed guard. Protesters on the night of the Grand Final, tried breaking past the barriers to gain access into the arena, and I’ve since heard they were seen throwing rocks at cars.

I kinda miss when the most political thing about Euroviosion was the block voting, like yeah you could pretty much know the results before the show began bur at least the songs were pretty good.

I personally believe she believes it's cool to be a witch and that it will make her special, and I also believe she doesn't believe in God or the Devil. I once liked Eurovision to be honest, it was a show I never took serious, but it was fun to watch with my friends growing up. We would rank our favorites and bake bake and decorate the cookies so they looked like all the flags and so on... that was back in the late 2000s and the early 2010s... but last time I watched the show was 2014, I stopped because I kind of "grew out of it". But this year, for some reason, KZread recommended me to watch the Grand Final, and I listened to it in the background... and I must say I was pretty shocked. I'll never watch whatever that was ever again....

Dude from Belgium here. Eurovision has devolved from a music contest into a cringe fashion show, now complete with influences from political sides. It was very funny though: when a "straight" artist gets on stage, there is no focus on the schreksuality whatsoever. When a non-binairy artist takes to the stage, it is proudly announced: here is the non-binairy contestant from "whereeverthefukc" followed by the clapping of seels and dewgongs. It's a damn circus now

Ok, aside from the fact that you kept using the wrong pronouns for both of them, in spite of knowing they use they/then pronouns, and in spite of trashing Bambi's vocal technique which - alright; not for everyone - but is actually very hard to do properly... you can't seriously say Nemo's song was bad. It's so catchy *and* Nemo's voice is just incredible. Even if the song isn't to your taste which is totally fine... I don’t see how you can basically say Nemo is a bad singer and is there to only virtue signal. I mean come on. Conchita won ESC when I was in my religion induced homophobic era and I considered trans people/drag queens bad and YET i still _absolutely_ adored Rise like a Phoenix and recognized what a good singer she is.

Every year since I was a little girl I was excited to watch Eurovision and vote for my favoutire songs with my family... yes it used to be a family-friendly event.... This was the last year I am watching this ungodly sight.... rather heartbreaking

As an American who has never seen Eurovision, it's nice that we're not the ones embarrassing ourselves for once. All the performers in this video just seem like Doja Cat wannabes. I’m not even a fan of Doja but at least she actually has a talent for making catchy songs, unlike these creeps. Ireland really took the L this year it seems. For what it's worth, don't worry Europeans. We know most of you aren't weirdos just like how Hollywood doesn't represent the American people.

Italy’s song from this year, La Noia, was pretty catchy and a fun song. Most of the songs are pretty good on average, but 2024 didn’t hit as well. France’s entry from 2023 was beautiful.

The Israeli song they were boing was originally called "October rain" and it talks about the horrors of october the 7th but since some people find it "offensive" to say that it actually happened, the song was changed by the jury into "hurricane". the song she was singing as a memorial to those who lost their lives (some of them were her friends)? thats the song they were "Boooeing" to 2. The protestors outside of the venue that were called "lil aggresive" demended of everyone who was trying to get into the venue "passporst" to prove they are "not ewish" they in the end did found someone jewish, a tiny woman, and she ended up in the hospital after they atk her with a blunt object. 3. Eden (the israeli singer) couldn't bring her parents to watch the her preformence since she was getting DE TH THR THS. Finish with some good: 4. WITH ALL OF THAT, and with the fact the jury spacificlly made sure not to give Israel any points, the actual people in the audiance give Hurricane the 2th place (!) it seems, people didn't enjoy what the h happened there.

I listen to death metal bands and that trans witch hurt my ears. I've heard a wide range of metal roars and screams and THAT performance disgusted me like nothing else. I'd much rather listen to high pitched screams from women on repeat that listen to the witch again

I can't think of any reason to watch Eurovision except the two reasons I just learned about. The first was that Eden Golan with "October Rain" "Rise Up" "Amazing" and "Hurricane" would actually get me to buy another album, which I haven't done since the 90s and the other from your video here is to watch the full video of a woman bawking like a chicken. That might be worth it too.

Okay, now that was worth it. I'd love to take that girl out on a date where she is suppose to be annoying and use her eyes and tongue like that towards either me or the waitress and finally if either one of us starts to really annoy her if she did that chicken verbage I'd gladly take her home and pay her $50 for all the great acting. So now why? Because I'd want to go back to the restaurant and tell the waitress, "and you thought you put me through hell when you spilled all that drink on my pants the last time. Was that one crazy blind date or what?" France, italys and Luxembourg’s were good though

Netherlands had a beautiful fun song about European unity and it was dedicated to singer's parents. It was a crime that they disqualified him because he did not deserve it. It has nothing to do with wokeness but I agree with the rest of the video.

No, it's EXACTLY like that. Notice how the poorest people in the districts looked normal because they're too busy trying to survive & not starve to death, or be sent to their death. Yet the insane people at the top who have ALL the privileges look & act utterly insane. They insult, mock & look down on the people at the bottom.
