Brazil already has this missile, the only thing missing is the helicopter. We already have a large factory that builds Airbus helicopters in Brazil, so we must acquire these devices.

They would actually be really useful for Brazilian landscape I think. They are rather ligth and don't need a lot of maintenance, so ideal to operate in non urban areas like the amazon where in a moist atmosphere, without big landing areas and stuff.

Der Tiger wird nicht ergänzt , sondern ersetzt! Entweder durch das Nachfolge Model Tiger Mk III ( aktuell unwahrscheinlich) , den Apache AH 64 E Guardian oder den hier präsentierten Airbus H145M , wobei Airbus der BW ein Angebot von 55 Stück gemacht hat!

@@christianjunghanel6724 durch die H145m kauft man sich Zeit und kann die Marktlage um 2030 herum prüfen. Upgrade des Tigers ist wird es für Deutschland nicht geben. Höchstens aus Politischen Gründen. Apache zu kaufen wäre semioptimal weil diese sich auch mittlerweile am Ende Ihres Lebens befinden und auch nicht mehr groß weiterentwickelt werden. Da hätte man dann ein Modell was keinen großen Aufwuchs mehr zu erwarten hätte. Mit der Ergänzung um die H145m könnte man die Nachfolge des Tigers für 2030 anpeilen und dann eventuell auf ein Modell setzten welches den Apache in Amerika ablösen würde. Da ist gerade einiges in der Pipeline. Damit hätte man dann einen Hubschrauber der für 20 bis 30 Jahre wieder state if the art wäre...

@@tomp.8875 Stimme dir weitgehend zu , aber was den Apache angeht bis du falsch informiert ! Der wird noch mindestens 30 Jahrzehnte rumschwirren! Da wird es noch genug Upgrades geben! Die letzte Version ist gar nicht mal so übel! Nicht das ich hier einen Favoriten hier hätte! Mit dem H145m wären wir sicher auch gut dran !

@@christianjunghanel6724 Und warum bekommen wir es in Deutschland nicht auf die Reihe einfach mal unsere eigenen System weiterzuentwickeln.. Der Tiger z.B. ist doch eine Gelungene Plattform vom Design her, es mangelt nur an Ausgereiftheit der Technik. Wir machen in Deutschland immer diesen Fehler. Ich hatte gerade unter dem Video für die Taurus das gleiche Beschrieben. Zitat "Und wie immer in Deutschland wird bestimmt wieder wenig bis nichts in die Weiterentwicklung dieses Systems gesteckt, 20 Jahr später stellt man dann fest das alles veraltet ist und man etwas neues braucht. Da das know how fehlt (weil man 20 Jahre nichts neues entwickelt hat) wird wieder politisch irgend ein Konsortium zusammengewürfelt, die dann 10 oder gar 20 Jahre rumentwickeln, weil die Ingenieure bei Null anfangen müssen, dabei kommt dann die nächste high tech Wunderwaffe bei raus die aber leider wieder zu spät, zu teuer, mit Fähigkeitslücken und Kinderkrankheiten geplagt ist. Am besten immer 10 Jahresverträge in denen die Industrie eine Charge herstellt und ausliefert (Planbarkeit, Jobsicherheit, Investitionssicherheit, Langzeit Verträge mit Zulieferern usw müssten den Preis attraktiv machen) und diese Zeit nutzt man um die 'Version 2.0' zu Entwickeln und testen um sich dann für den nächsten 10 Jahresvertrag zu bewerben usw. Die Amerikaner benutzen seit Jahrzehnten die selben Systeme Raketen/Flugzeuge/Schiffe und entwickeln die einfach weiter um Fähigkeiten wie mehr Reichweite, bessere Elektronik usw einzubauen und Kinderkrankheiten und andere Probleme auszutreiben. Das funktioniert bei denen also, warum nicht auch bei uns? Warum z.B. entwickelt man die Taurus nicht dahingehend weiter das die aus einer VLS Startzelle der Marine verschossen werden kann? Oder von der Raketenartillerie des Heeres. Einfach ein Raketenstartmotor anbauen, damit man das Ding vom Boden/See aus starten kann, schon hätte man eine Fähigkeit mehr. Dann die Reichweite.. 500 km ist echt nichts heute, das ist z.b. zu nah sogar für die Luftwaffe und könnte das Trägerflugzeug in die Verteidigungszone eines modernen Luftabwehrsystems bringen. Warum nicht die Taurus weiterentwickeln das sie etwas leichter wird, dann könnte man etwas mehr Treibstoff unterbringen, ein neuer effizienterer Antriebsmotor und hier und da ein Paar Effizienzsteigerungen in der Aerodynamik und schon könnte man die Reichweite auf vernünftige 1000 km oder gar 1500 km vergrößern, so wie es auch vergleichbare Systeme der USA, Chinas oder Russlands können. Man könnte die Taurus auch zum anti-radiation Marschflugkörper und zur anti-Schiffsrakete weiterentwickeln. Aber aus irgend einem Grund wird das in Deutschland einfach nichts. Wir haben gute Ingenieure aber unfähige Manager und Politiker."

It has additional armament but it’s hard to compare because this is a light attack helicopter that costs a fraction of a helicopter gunship. Many European armies use these as well as gunships like Apache or Tiger or similar helicopters.

It's protected against small arms same as little birds of the US army. So assault rifles and MGs that is. Heavier stuff like soviet DShK is a different question. You'll hardly ever get in a situation where it's relevant based on the doctrin though, so for tank hunting duties it's a more cost effective solution then heavier helos.

The attack helicopter as a type is a run-out model. Everything that an attack helicopter can do more of than the H145M will be taken over by drones in future, simply because they are far too easy to get out of the sky, as can be seen in Ukraine. The simplest outdated air defense system brings down the most modern Russian helicopters even though they have missile defense. Why should you still buy a helicopter in Turkey when you could produce the Bell Viper in Germany? Germany rarely buys military technology from Turkey as it is. That would only lead to problems. It's either never again a classic attack helicopter or the Viper.

The NH90 helicopers break down too much. They like a bmw they look good parts are hard to get on time and they spend more time in the service bay than in the air.

@@Nathan-ry3yu it is exactly as you describe it. All users of the Airbus NH-90 are unsatisfied. Recently Norway decided to replace their fleet. In my country Greece NH-90 helicopters also proved to be unreliable

@@christsoug8533 Same in Australia they end up grounding all NH90 helicopers permanently and purchased upgraded reliable blackhawk instead. Same with the tiger attack helicopers they replaced them with the upgraded Apache 64e helicopers for a gap Airbus are to unreliable. Australia looking into future Lockheed Sikorsky-Boeing’s SB Defiant to replace the blackhawks and the new stealth Bell 280 attack when they enter production next decade

@@Ca-vz2yo I’ve been extremely disappointed in the way Israel has reacted to the invasion of Ukraine. Fortunately, Germany already has a massive stockpile of SPIKE missiles in their inventory. Unfortunately, the Germans have given nothing but empty promises.

Surtain countries have grounded these NH90 helicopers. Saying they problematic. And parts are hard to get on time.. they spend more time in the service bay than in the air. Unreliable

You should know that this is not the NH90 made by NHIndustries, in which Airbus is just one of three participant manufacturers. The NH90 is a very different (heavier) helicopter with a different role. This is the Airbus H145M , based on the very successful, reliable and efficient civilian H145 (formerly known as EC-145). Lots of emergency response units use it all over the world, and it is even used by the US military, amongst other militaries.
