Europe's New Border Force Explained

Ойын-сауық

Watch my exclusive video about the global refugee crisis on Nebula:
nebula.tv/videos/neo-unknown-...
At least since the height of the so called European migrant crisis in 2015 there has been an ongoing process of finding answers to the challenges of increased migration. In order to meet these challenges, the EU is currently setting up an agency with the task of guaranteeing European border protection. The European Border and Coast Guard Agency - Frontex.

@BolinFYMThere are good arguments for both letting the immigrants in and keeping them out, however both of these groups don't see the big picture. If they really want to address the problem, they should focus their energy on the root cause of this issue, which is terrible living conditions in the middle east. The people who do actually get into the EU are just a small percentage of the people who suffer under terrible conditions at home. Doing this would satisfy everybody since we would both help the immigrants and stop their influx into the EU.

@@agiosromylos1315 Reaching a safe country doesn't magically take away refugee rights from those people instead they are considered as refugees as long as the war in their home continues according UN refugee convention 1951!!! So it is just another cheap excuse you ''international law experts'' found that we can see it in ''about 95% immigrants coming to Italy have their asylum request denied'' nonsense as you wrote IMMIGRANTS while those people are refugees!! No country which is signatory in UN refugee convention 1951 can refuse asylum request of refugees rather has to provide a place for them to stay and this is why both Greece and Spain are violating international laws by assuming all those people are illegal immigrants not refugees and using force against them...

We must distinguish between a refugee and an illegal immigrant. A lot of the people trying to get in aren't running away from somewhere "where his life or freedom would be threatened on account of his race(...)" but just trying to get in illegally. And 30$ just for food, no including in this equal: house rent, basic services, ipounds, if you live with other people, if you get sick. And the other factor is: in this case you habe a job that is "good paid" (for this price in the place that i live) I think the economic risk is something that can make you more vulnerable to other kind of risk ... The Refugee convention was never intended to refer to migrants en masse in their hundreds of thousands, millions or tens of millions. It was supposed to be intended for small numbers, and in that context it is completely fair. However, when you have migration en masse, the convention ceases to have any relevance.

That's not really accurate, given that part of the motivation for the convention came in the aftermath of WWII, where thousands of Jews sought asylum and were denied. Things are obviously more complicated than that alone, but to claim that mass migrations were not thought of is incorrect.

Nonsense. Refugees by definition come in big waves. Each war creates s huge number of refugees in a short time. E.g. all the people evacuated out of Afghanistan this summer. Or the many millions displaced by world war two.
