back when music still had musicians that actually played instruments. The days of the superbands are ending regrettably and the rise of digital solo artists synthesizing sound has come.

Now you need to do a newer Europe song. Last Look at Eden, not supposed to sing the blues, & walk the earth. Those are good starts on the newer Europe.

Joey Tempest first soloalbum is really good. A Place To Call Home.

Love this, Chod! Stunned to see it. Go for the IROC and the cassette deck! Finally I find a reacter listening to Europe deep cuts. Totally with you bro on this band. Trust me on this list for them dude. Just record these somewhere and refer to it when you want to hear more Europe. I'm a big fan and I won't steer you wrong. I like all of these. Great reaction guys! That song was 🔥🔥🔥 It's based on real historical events regarding the Cherokee nation. In 1838 the tribe was forcibly relocated by the US government to what is now Oklahoma. Some 4,000 died along the way. Thus the name, Trail Of Tears. Europe's lead singer, Joey Tempest wrote it after reading a book about the Cherokee nation.

The Trail of Tears was an ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of approximately 60,000 people of the "Five Civilized Tribes" between 1830 and 1850 by the United States government. I would be really curious to know what percentage of Americans have any clue about this event or many others in their past 🤔

I love Europe. I have this album. If you like rock/blues, you have to check out Europe 'In My Time'. Great ballads and even greater guitar work. You guys will definitely love it.

Mic Michaeli (keyboards) played keyboards and synthesizers (and co-wrote the single 'Carrie'), even though the songs were all written by singer Joey Tempest. First 5 Europe albums are still the best... 'Europe' (1983), 'Wings of tomorrow' (1984), 'The Final Countdown' (1986), 'Out of this world' (1988) and 'Prisoners in paradise' (1991)... ...they changed a bit after the 2004 reunion.

Part of this song reminded me of Rainbow's "Since You've Been Gone". I'm not comparing them. Someone also mentioned you might like Dokken. I second that. I think you might like "Into the Fire". As for an 80s car you might also consider a car from the 70s. I don't think new cars were so easy to buy in those days. I remember buying used cars that were sometimes from the 70s and they were easier to work on. So I was told. Also make sure you have a wooden pencil for the cassette tape, sometimes cassette players get hungry.

John Norum played with Dokken for a while, so there's a connection between Europe and Dokken.

Great reaction to a great song. Europe was very unlucky when they were about to record the follow up album to Out of this world. All things were set with Bob Rock to start recording when a group called Metallica showed up. And they had to postpone the album for quite a while. When their next album came out, hard rock was dead and Grunge was in... That album has some nice tracks though. Check out Halfway to Heaven or Girl from Lebanon

Whilst I love this album, I think their material over the last 15 years or so is much better, showing more maturity which I guess is natural as they're getting older. Seen them live many times & will be going to their 40th anniversary tour this year.
