Looking at the list of navies and their equipment, apart from naturally France, and even they may not have the money, I can't see any that would put in such a big and expensive order for the Airbus MPA. Even the profligate Saudi's are buying the American Poseidon.

I would like to ask that big shot from the General Atomics why the hell today, in 2021, two years after this interview was taken, Ford class carrier still has problems with their EMALS and AALA systems which break down and malfunction much more frequently than the steam systems they are replacing. So what gives man? More money? Underpayed engineers? Overpaid management?

EMALS is working great now. It's 30% more efficient than steam and takes up a lot less space. It's also much easier on the airplanes and much less maintenance than steam. It just takes time to get a brand new system and the technology figured out.

If it's cheaper to strap missiles and sensors/radar onto a converted civilian jet rather than building a military jet, then you're mazy if you choose not to. A 747 can hold a shit ton of missiles and radar equipment. The only concern id have is survivability/durability. How safe are the pilots? Anything less than a purely military aircraft will be unacceptable.

fredy no, they have a difference in military requirements to civilian standards. This is the direct opposition to Boeing’s 737 maritime patrol aircraft and awacs.
