Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid barrier
- an offset frontal impact test, 40% of the width of the car is striking a deformable barrier
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking systems (car to car, with a pedestrian and a cyclist target), lane support and speed assist technologies and seatbelt reminders.

bvc100 in my country it calls the X-trail, don’t know why nissan have to come up with a different name for each particular market

@Jordan 209 it surely is odd and doesn't make sense to be honest. However, I've never heard the juke being called the X trail before. I do however know that the xtrail is also called the rogue in some countries like America. It's very confusing because there are two rogues which are either the Qashqai or the X trail. They should keep the same names for all countries I think

@Jordan 209 true. It's just like a bigger Qashqai. I mean they used to have a car called Qashqai+2 which is equivalent to the X-Trail today but they instead put them together so the X-Trail now is also the Qashqai+2 is that makes sense

EVERY car and truck should be equiped with AEB like an airbag or seatbelt.

It will be mandatory in the EU from 2022, although 90% of the new cars are already sold with AEB. The new mandatory safety features include: For cars, vans, trucks and buses: warning of driver drowsiness and distraction (e.g. smartphone use while driving), intelligent speed assistance, reversing safety with camera or sensors, and data recorder in case of an accident (‘black box'). For cars and vans: lane-keeping assistance, advanced emergency braking, and crash-test improved safety belts. For trucks and buses: specific requirements to improve the direct vision of bus and truck drivers and to remove blind spots, and systems at the front and side of the vehicle to detect and warn of vulnerable road users, especially when making turns.
On the aeb front, someone's gonna have to tell the dummy to stop messing with their phone and screens

@k. 743 have you seen Hyundai kona? Its the best compact suv.. it has 2.0L and 1.6L turbo engine and its smaller than Juke.. engine power is important..
