Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of BYD DOLPHIN 2023

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
▶ a frontal impact test where 50% of the width of the car strikes an oncoming deformable barrier, travelling at 50 km/h
▶ a frontal impact test where the car impacts a full-width rigid barrier
▶ a side impact test where a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
▶ a pole test where the car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole and the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated
▶ a whiplash test performed on a sled.
A series of pedestrian tests are also conducted with different impactors : adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form. As well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests. In 2023 a test scenario for Cyclist Dooring Prevention was introduced.
Active safety is rated based on the performance of the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car and car-to-motorcycle scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders, fatigue, distraction and impairment), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

    Não. Essa versão que eles testarem no Brasil é o Dolphin plus. Perceba que ele tem 2 cores. O Dolphin normal só tem 1 cor. Uma das coisas que foi testado foi o sistema ARAS (de piloto assistido) que o normal não tem!

    in the 2:58 part the car brakes but what if the car that is crossing the interception goes a bit slower or just the braking that does the tested car is not enough as for full stop?

    2:27 a kid comes out of a vehicle when front of the Dolphin already aligned with the end of second car. In Ora Good Cat and Volkswagen ID.3 tests they are way far behind of the second car, so they have enough time to react and stop. This isn't fair.

    Essa versão que eles testarem, no Brasil é o Dolphin plus. Percebam que ele tem 2 cores. O Dolphin normal só tem 1 cor. Uma das coisas que foi testado foi o sistema ARAS (de piloto assistido) que o normal não tem!

    If the cell short circuit after crash, yes. LFP will smoke, because it's content liquidity Its chemistry doesn't produce own oxygen, whereas NCM NCA ternary battery do and those battery will burn extremely fierce LFP will usually just smoke, if fire is present, or the battery heat cause something else to burn, or extremely weather it my trigger fire in LFP battery as external fire source burn the battery However as it don't produce own oxygen the fire can be put out normally. Abet the short circuit battery will atill produce heat (see video that circuit LFP on purpose to test its result, will verify statements After LFP short circuit, smokes, then purposefully set alight, burn, the LFP will continue burn as battery heat will continue the fire, but if the fire is put out; the battery will smoke or just continue heat up until it exhaust its energy) Therefore if there's a large accident, at present LFP battery is the safest commercially available Sodium battery will be even more safe, supposedly won't burn by itself. But has lower power to weight ratio

    I don't! no more monthly maintenance, motors last very long compared to engines, the used batteries goes to battery storage, I don't need to warm up my engine before accelerating fast, instant power and torque to overtake safely and carrying heavy stuff... the list is very long ! oh! and you can recycle everything in these batteries !

    @@robertbidochon7949 If you live in a country with a high level of welfare, it is normal to say these things. Electric vehicles are much more expensive than internal combustion engine vehicles. Also, charging stations are not available everywhere and there is a possibility of being left on the road when the electric charge runs out, you will have to wait for it to charge for hours, the damage will be greater when the vehicle is in a flood. So don't look at this situation one-sidedly, those living in developed countries should not defend electric vehicles here.

    @@emregr856 even in Poland with no incentives Prius's price starts at the price of Tesla Model 3. That is not true what you wrote. In Western Europe there are more than enough charging stations, poor countries don't need them. And that might be justified to say that there is no cheap EV, I mean a decent small car for 10k$ i Europe.
