Hi, I bought a softer one month back. While installing he explained to me how to let out some amount of water every 20 to 25 days. But I forgot how to do it. If you know could you please explain?

Where does all the salt go? I was thinking of installing it at a farmhost. Was thinking of whole home RO (but I could only see people in US doing it) and my first thought was, I could use the water rejected by RO to water the farm. In this case, where does the salt / salty water come out from? I can''t water my farm with salt water.

Hi, I have a 3M softener, the resin has already gone bad in 222 days, anyways I have a doubt, while the regeneration is going on and the tank water level goes down the auto water level controller gets triggered and water from sump goes to overhead tank while regeneration and because of that the tank water gets contaminated with hard water, how do you tackle this situation?

Sai Ram! Thank you for your video. I tried to make my softener work after few years that it has not been used. I do not have any knowledge of this. I put the salt, turn on the water, the water came out from the black pipe, but the compartments to fill the salt is dry. Is it possible that the outside blue filter is blocked? Should I see any water in the tank?

Hi, Hope you have the same softener that I showed in the video. If that's the case, you need to perform regeneration/recharge. The salt is used by the softener to regenerate/recharge and the softener which I showed in the video does that automatically, we just need to add the salt and press the recharge button and the recharge cycle takes around 2 hrs and post that the softeners gives soft water. Hope I answered your query.

Salt content in processed water will be quite high? Can we use it directly for daily chores and for drinking purpose do we RO in kitchen?

No, There won't be any salt content in the water as the water doesn't pass through the Salt. Salt is used by the machine to regenerate. This machine is to reduce the hardness in water. Yes, the water can be used directly for daily chores but not for drinking as it just reduces the hardness of the water and doesn't purify the water. For drinking water, you need to use a water purifier as per your requirement.

What number of tds becomes the water after using the water softner?

I have small query that they connect inlet to softener from the tank or from pumping motor of a bore well to tank ???

Hi, if ur entire house water supply is connected with tank then it's better to connect outlet of softner to inlet of tank, this way you get soft water for entire house. If u do not require soft water for entire house then you need to see how to make the connections.

Hi, thanks for the detailed info, softness will come down to what' levels in ppm? Are u satisfied with softness of water it offers? I have a 1000 liter over head tank and 2-3 PPL stay, which one do u suggest to buy?1000 or 2000 one ?

Hi, softness level can be adjusted if you are not satisfied with the present setting. The system can completely remove the hardness and provides good softwater but do keep in mind that the salt consumption increases as per your softness setting. Yes, i am very much satisfied with tbe product. If the water hardness is more in your area go with 2000 else 1000.

I have one more question, After water softening water scaling issues on bathroom fittings n floorings is completely resolved?

Yeah, if we keep adding salt regularly without any delay, you should not observe any more scaling issues. Do keep in mind the salt need to be refilled regularly and that spending is recurring every month.

What about the inlet filter maintenence or replacement period and cost. (The blue in color) What about any other filters inside the unit?

Hi, There is no replacement period for inlet filter (i.e Jumbo Filter). You need to change the filter when it stops filtering the water completely and that depends on the quality of water you are getting and the price should be around 1000 is what the executive mentioned for that filter as it's a simple sand filter and not a mineral filter. There are no more filters inside the softener. You might need to change the brine solution when it can't filter the hardness anymore and that might be once in 4-5 years is what the executive mentioned and I do not have any real time info on this. In my community there are people using these softeners for more than 4 years and they have not yet changed the brine solution even once till now. Hope I have answered your queries.

Hi, This machine should be fixed to the inlet connection of your home. This is just a softner not a water purifier. Please continue using your RO for drinking water.

Hi, After adding salt to the softener. The softener regenerates that night(as per the regeneration setting) and starts giving soft water once the regeneration is completed. We do not get any soapy water after regeneration, we get soft water. Are you using the same model softener?

Hi, There is no specific setting. It all depends on how soft you need the water to be. You can change the settings according to that.

Kent, Zero B and few local brands.

My friend recently installed and he still faces salt deposits in fittings. Company says tats expected, pathetic.

How much do they charge for installation? Technician said it will charge 2000 for installation..... I thought the installation is charge free

Installation is free if the water inlet pipe is within 1 feet from the installation place. If the installation place is more than 1 feet from water inlet, they do charge for installation accordingly. The items for installation like pipes and valves need to be bought by us.

You can use rock salt which works well and costs less, about ₹8 p/kg.

Hi, First one year, we can avail two service requests. They'll come and clean the outside big blue filter. After one year, there is no need to avail AMC as we can clear that filter ourselves. I am using it for the past 8 months without any issues. In my layout, people are using for past 4-5 years without any issues.

What is the hardness level after that ??

Hi, The hardness level can be changes as per your requirement. There is no fixed setting, it depends on the setting that you configure in the softener.

Please do not buy, they don't have replacement part. Used AWS 1000 for 1.9 years, now they say the damaged part isn't available.

Remember the salt used to flush out tue hardness will increase the salinity of ground water in your locality. This is not an eco friendly solution for hard water.

While buying the service is v good. But the repair started after 3 months. Customer service is very bad

Hi, it's been 1 year and It's working as expected. No issues observed till now.

Pls don't buy it. Technicians are not well versed with the technology. Brine will not get ejected. If u go for AMC they will come once in 6 months. Otherwise tgey won't.

I have the same. I am facing some scaling issues. Nobody attends to it sincerely. Don't buy this. This model is defective and withdrawn

I noticed now the model available is aws 2500. The 2000 model is no longer available.
