Best doorbell I have used and owned. I have added a security camera to the home base as well. Great system! Highly recommend system for the money.

Great job, really intuitive. I have stayed away from the ring doorbell because I’ve always wanted the storage to be local. Also, I have always been looking for some one to create a “doorbell video kit” that could be installed in any existing doorbell installation and have WiFi or network options. I have custom brass flush plates and other types in various locations and would be nice to be able upgrade them.

You could take the plastic plate to someone who works in those material and have a custom plate made 20-40$ dollars I assume because brass is ready available. Maybe even less.

I’ve just invested in Eufy cameras and door bell. It’s great, so easy to set up and add devices and I can keep an eye on my fur babies and talk to them.

That Eufy one seriously reminds me of the AT&T one used in Back To The Future! 😂 Really enjoying your videos. I’ve got 5 lights being controlled by Alexa and it’s super helpful as I’m a wheelchair user. Hoping to get my curtains and blinds controlled in the same way.

Excellent review. Thank you! I sure wish Eufy/Google/Amazon (Home Assistant?) would figure out the notification lag. I was really hoping to use this with Nest Hub or Echo devices.

I do not mind that the wall doorbell is bypassed, the chime that comes with it is wonderful, love the grandfather sound, and my Alexa also gives me notice someone is at my front door. I went through two ring doorbells, first one was defected the 2nd the button went bad. It is also a good feeling knowing I do not have to pay any yearly fees!

I just bought my first video doorbell. I love this Eufy. I took so long to buy one because it just looked too complicated for me to mess with the doorbell and the wiring and the monthly subscription. I dont mind having to recharge it. Later when social distancing is over I can have someone install for me over existing doorbell. I love it!

Thanks for your review. I've been reviewing some YT videos on using this with Alexa. I can be done via Routines but the delay is a bit much. BTW, I have the same Bamboo desk from Jarvis. Absolutely love it.

I have the entire Eufy system for my security system ! Love their entire system !

you can always see the battery level by going to the power manager, i love this doorbell

Love your Videos! And that your from AZ. So Cool! I like the Eufy Cam E system but it comes with a different base station. DO you know if the Eufy cam E can integrate with the same base station as the Eufy Doorbell or will I have to use both base stations?

I have this doorbell (the Eufy) and it is very good. Wide field of view, it does show the percentage battery remaining, the local storage is more than enough, the motion dete tion is configurable and first rate in operation. Most importantly there is no monthly fee and that's fine by me.

@@Revolutionary491 it will eventually overwrite. The storage that comes with the homebase is just under 15gb, so there is a limit. I will say that I have 2 eufycam Pro 2k and the doorbell all recording (motion detect), they have been up and running for 7 months and about 1/3 of the storage is used. Videos can be downloaded to phone or tablet, so older video can be kept if needed. For my setup I expect approx 2 years of storage plus or minus. For just the doorbell I would expect the 15gb to last a lot longer before overwrite starts. The video quality is very good. The battery does not quite last up to the 6 months stated, but my doorbell faces a streets, so it triggers a lod due to passing foot traffic.

@@Revolutionary491 I have the version that comes with a homebase (which acts as a chime amongst other things). I have setup the app on my phone and this also notifies me to visitors. It was always my intent to get some cctv cameras, so it was a fairly easy choice for me. All cameras, the doorbell and door sensors connected to the same homebase. Have not investigated the chime version.

I just bought the Eufy 2C 3 Pack and a Doorbell. The cameras so far have frwta picture quality. Haven't seen it at night yet, but that will come. Just picked up the doorbell from the shop, going to install that today

Thanks for the informative review. When the doorbell is pressed do you get a distinctive "ding-dong" sound on your mobile (iPhone) or just a standard notification? I have the current model doorbell and I only get a standard notification and so miss pretty much every bell press. My mate has a Ring doorbell and when its pressed he gets a clear and distinctive "ding-dong" on his phone. Albeit he pays a subscription it appears the better system?

Eufy doesn't have 2 factor authentication yet so that's something to consider. I've got their 2k pan/tilt cam but it's in the garage but if I added more inside my home, I would definitely need some extra layer of security despite using a strong password. I have a ring pro and logging into the app on my wife's phone required 2FA confirmation as well as logging into the website. If you have a second camera and install the Eufy app, can you just login with your username and password and there is your doorbell feed or do you need to manually add it per-mobile device? That would ease my worry about 2FA since it would mean the hacker would need physical access to my camera/doorbell to view the feed.

Hey, loved your video. #1. For your next video please consider all the major ecosystem for smart home - Samsung, Amazon Alexa, Xiaomi, Google and Apple. Please compare them all and let us know which one just works. Integration with Echo show or Google or some other smart screen for video is definitely a selling point. #2. Also I was surprised to see the base station! Why don't all companies do that for their smart cameras and door bells? How easy would that be, no more NAS, internet plans or micoSD setup, the base station just taking care of all the storage. #3. Also don't miss on the point on how easy is it to steal and weatherproofing of all the different cameras. Love you

Fast forward two years, I have the AI enabled two camera Eufy at one location and it is AMAZING and I also have a Ring second edition in another location. Hands down, the Eufy is the superior product!

What are your thoughts around how Eufy does or doesn't protect your data, especially considering headquarters are in China and they have a specific note in the privacy policy stating they can move your data from within the US to "other" countries as well as other third parties that they don't have data privacy controls on

Maybe a dumb question but I'm just getting into video doorbells. Regarding the storage, does the camera save ALL footage? Or is the storage for specific footage you select to be saved? Or maybe I'm still wrong and someone can correct me.

I cant decide between the wired or the battery one. Battery :16gb homebase storage vs wired: smoother video and 3second pre-record. Which one do you recommend?

I bought this today to replace my 1st gen Ring. The only problem I see so far is base/mounting plate not being as sturdy as Ring base plate. Plus Ring has 4 screws and this has only two. If you over tighten the screws by at lest a bit, it would brake the plate.

This video sold me on eufy. Thanks buddy 🤙🏻

Oh wow that does seem to be draining fast. I got this amzn.to/2VekitK and it has worked really well. I just ran the cord along the base board and you basically can't see it from the inside. Then I went on the side of the weather stripping of the front door and up to the doorbell. Some people have drilled holes through the wall for a more clean approach. I usually lean toward less permanent approaches.

Most of the videos of the Eufy Doorbell are over 10 months old for review. I was hoping you kept up your Eufy doorbell. I am at the edge of going all in with either Alexa or Google Assistant. I bought the Google Home Wifi With 3 repeaters that have a built in speaker and mic for using the Google Assistant. I then bought 3 more Google Nest Speakers to have one in each room. It works amazing! And I would love to keep it. I have had it for a year and the more I view KZread videos of smart homes I notice that there is a divergence if I chose to continue. I wanted to buy the Nest Hub Home Max. But I also noticed the if I want to buy Eufy, It may not work like I want it to with Google Assistant. I wanted the doorbell push to trigger a camera view on the Google Screen. Based on what I have seen it doesn't do that. But everyone that reviewed it with Alexa states that this is an option with Alexa (Although not a great experience) Do you have any experience working with Eufy and Google assistant? I mainly was hoping to have the doorbell trigger an automatic camera view onto a video screen like my TV, or Google Assistant video screen. If it does not work, I might have to switch to Alexa, where it seems to have more options for my growing ambitions for my smart home. I better stop, this is turning into a book. Sorry about that!

eufy just got back to me and said that they are planning on having the eufy battery doorbell in the UK/Europe in Q2 this year.

Is ring the only one which does the peephole door bell? I'd like to no if other companies out there can do this doorbell better? Thanks.

Does the free subscription allow remote access to live and/or recorded video via an app or website?

I wonder if Eufy has a replacement warranty for theft/damage. That is one of the selling points of the Ring - their replacement service if someone steals it. That said, definitely looks like a much better unit overall!

Eufy warranty is awesome. I had my 2K PTZ camera went dead after 7 months of usage and they've replaced it for me without any question asked.

Can you disable motion detection and only get notified and start recording when doorbell button is pushed ? (both actions) because my door faces street and other way it must alert constantly, being so annoying

I don't know if it's an update since but you can see the battery percentage power in the settings menu under power manager.

Will you be reviewing the Best Buy exclusive eufy doorbell pro which has 32Gb local storage and 5 day 24/7 continuous recording?

I went to a store to buy the Ring and the guy talked me out of it and recommend this instead. East to install and setup. Better camera (2K )than Ring (1080p), No subscription AND my original doorbell chime still works with this. I can add 11 cameras to this at no extra cost.

How far away does the Eufy base work away from the doorbell. What's the maximum distance between the two?

First of all thank you so much for your detailed video. I do have a quick question / issue on Homebase2 connection to my router. I do have tp-link Deco X20 mesh system, when I try to connect my homebase2 with the internet , it has blue blinking light only and then I could see error message "Network Exception, please try again later." With an error screen titled "Unable to add HoemBase2". Could you please help me out? I tried everything reset, unplug power cable, router restart, reset button on homebase2 but it just keep blinking blue led. Help would be highly appreciated 🙏🏼
