We need to set realistic expectations instead of asking Hawk to conquer half of Europe or the world. He's already pumping out multiple videos per week, and a big challenge won't be healthy for him. He'll burn out sooner with crazy videos!

Brabant starts with "Bra." And what other country starts with Bra? Brazil of course. So how about form Brazil as Brabant? And then Brabant also ends with BAN-t. And what else has BAN in it? Bankrupt of course. So form Brazil and become bankrupt. Sad... looks like no bankruptcy this run either...

I love that they have 4 ToHe and 25% RU. It's so absurdly high. The game should have more unique ideas like it used to like ottos with 33 CCR. It feels like they've standardized a lot of ideas although some unique stuff does remain like 33% cav for Poland etc.

You'd lose in the beginning, but the army tradition and absurd manpower would be enough to overpower most enemies in the long run! Very fun nonetheless!

But I have a suggestion, why don't you try to ask the community for goals for the next A to Z countries, if you didn't manage to find any good ones, it will save you the hassle of trying to find a good goal in a country for the video, and also make it so the community can engage in this series, in which who knows what interesting goals will appear. But nevertheless really love the videos you post, keep up the good work!

kinda silly putting Bosnia as Catholic while one of the main reasons Ottomans took it with little to no resistance was because they offered the Bosnian bogumils protection from the crusades (they were second class citizens)

Montenegro isn't a 1444 starting nation.

In my France game Hungary went with Mathias Corvinus and they are currently the 3rd greatest power. I think I allied them in like 1550 and they were pretty big and strong already, now it's 1690 and we're the best of bros.

I noticed that you can switch to the Horde government type as a North American tribe. My challenge is this... start as a NA tribe and form the Mongol empire... if its even possible.

Please do a guide for Mali in this new Origins expansion!!! You are the best!!!

It should be. In real life, it was Arian/Gnostic, so it was opposed to the trinity(in the sense that they didn't believe the Son, Father and Holy Spirit were the same being, but believed that they worked together), opposed to the cross, opposed to icons, rejected baptism, didn't believe that Jesus was crucified because they believed that he was a spirit and didn't have a human body (which Nicean Christians tend to say negates Christianity through 1 Corinthians 15:14), they believed that Satan created all material and that he is the god of this world (because of 2 Corinthians 4:4) and that he was the god of the Old Testament, but that God is the god of the spirit realm and the one from the New Testament. And they had some puritanical practices like pescatarianism because they considered anything born from intercourse to be unclean. Also they were said to know the New Testament by heart, which was unusual in Europe at that time, especially the literacy rate needed for that. There was a university mentioned in 1175 CE in Mostre near Visoko, and there are papal letters listing Italians by name accused of having gone to Bosnia to "learn the Manichaean faith" and return to preach it in Italy where Catharism appeared later. It was abandoned when the Ottomans invaded. Even the emblem of Bosnia marks their identity, because they used to call themselves "The Lilies of The Field" from Matthew 6:28. So yes, there's every reason for it to be a separate religion. There should be a lot of defensive buffs too. When Tvrtko conquered the Raska/Montenegro region, he spread a rumor that one of his grandmothers (who was of the Serbian Nemanjic dynasty) is descended from Constantine The Great, so that he could basically forge claims on the Byzantine Empire's former lands. He literally did a mission tree thing irl; conquer Raska - get claims on all of Balkans.

When your allies / vassals units suddenly stop moving for no reason, it's a bug. It's fixed by saving, shutting down and then restarting the game.

Just a question: the wonders in my game dont actually show up in their respective provinces (on the map) despite my possession of the Leviathan dlc. Can someone help me fix this? I do get the Boni from them but it annoys me that I cant see the beautiful Hagia Sophia in Konstantinopolis

Yeah I think that was a miscalculation on his part after rewatching. Although there may be some agressive expansion modifier or something that might make it beneficial to take everything in the main peace deal, apart from Diplo.

Isn't it cheaper to use the reconquest screen when enforcing demands and returning cores to your vassals rather than clicking on the map? I think I saw that once somewhere...

With Beloozero can't you just prioritize developing your provinces for a good while in order to get stronger. Might take a while but it would be fun to see you eventually form Russia as them and getting the kinslayer acheivement as well. Probably more difficult than it sounds though

The problem is that muscowy gets dev much quicker then you can, so it becomes harder to break free over time

One thing you could have done is vassalized Albania an reconquer their cores from Venice and the ottomans.

As Brabant, become a colonial power and own all of the Kongo or Malacca. Why? The Duchy of Brabant was in the central parts of the lowlands and the capital was Brussels.

What u said about bosnia like its nothing without its allies its not completely false and its not completely true If u look at the geography between superpowers like austria & Hungary and the ottoman empire there is simply nothing what a mountainous country like bosnia could do except to defend itself with the natural landscape bonus Bosnia was never an aggressive country and claimed anything for itself compared to Croatia or serbia Bosnias newer history started as a loose loose situation somehow even worser than 1444 the aggression on bosnia started while the majority of the country (the bosnian muslims) had absolutely no weapons and even got an Embargo on them while they were an defending nation not the aggressor nation Even back then in 1444 Herzegovina which came into existence through secession weakened bosnia even in past now its struggles again with secessionists from serbs and backed by croatians like people simply dont want to see this country alive If you consider what bosnia went through its a masterpiece and a miracle that the country is still around in its known shapes unlike the kurds who are like 40 million people but there are just about 3-4 million bosnians/bosniaks and who had to fight against 2 nations at the same time and have an own independent country Another thing is no matter as which country u start especially all smaller ones u are always using ur allies and depending on them but i doubt that this call to arms how it is in EU4 is historical correct i doubt that any country ever went into a war like in EU4 and after a war when the Aggressor nation takes everything for itself while u helped them with almost everything just accepts that it gets a few gold dinars Another point is about the game itself There is absolutely no reason why a unified balkan has to struggle that hard against austria no matter which Country u choose i guess its just the historical bonus or so and western military type which is in my opinion not that relevant from historical and logical view compared to eastern or ottoman ones

I wonder if accepted cultures was a big part of feeling weak. Bosnian is such a small culture, the Dalmatian provinces aren't the same culture group, nor are the greek ones, so manpower must be fairly hard to come by (the distribution of development between manpower tax and production might have been a bit skewed towards the latter two too - I'm not that familiar with Balkans provinces) and maybe there's some autonomy issues too given the amount of diplo annexng going on, esp if the estates had v. high land share?

As Brabant, do more than trade the spice. Become the spice. Culture swap to Malay, and form Nusantara. (Malaya with different name) Bonus: Porch of Rome, convert as much of the isles to Catholic as possible.

So I saw a video with a 50 year wc by Terry yuan. It's very gimmicky but he was able to core providences in under 9 months to ignore overextension. Anyone know how to achieve that or know a guide for it?

Why didn't you seperate peace serbia in the first war?? Would have been able to take more provinces, maybe even annex fully?

He used mercenaries, so those armys don't drain his manpower. You could also try exchanging favors for soldiers with your allies or slacking recruitment standarts if you need some extra manpower

Not really bosnia had in past as a medieval country enough coastline it would be today just the perfect mix of a small bosnian country with forests, mountains lakes rivers and coastlines but the newer history of the ottomans marked bosnias nowadays borders but it also had a profit before because croatia and parts of serbia were unified as eyalet bosna and u see that similar to Yugoslavia the people lived across the nowadays borders which makes sense because there were no borders but serbia has despite it was the leader country in newer yugoslavian history after titos death with all its military power no coastlines today Bosnia survived (again)

Too bad you did not do Bosnia challange but you have to own all nations with the flor de li flag
