This guide covers the opening moves, diplomacy, estates, alliances, subjects, missions, national ideas, and more! Bohemia is one of the best nations for blobbing, having a massive army that is also extremely powerful, being extremely rich, dominating trade, forming The HRE, personal unions and more! After watching this EU4 Bohemia guide you will ensure a great start for yourself, and you will have an easy and fun campaign. The save file is available for all Tier 1 and above KZread members in the save-games Discord channel.

Honestly the PUing missions should be reworked using the swedish CB. As Sweden you have a CB to use on denmark called "take the norvegian crown" if they are still a PU under Denmark. That should be used as a model to all missions what gives you a PU CB if that said country is already a PU. I will like to see "Take The Hungarian Crown" as Bohemia or Poland or other cases.

bohemia is such a fun nation in eu4. everyone needs to try bohemia with innovative ideas which synergizes with the national ideas. there's some other things you can do but basically you stack tech cost reduction and advisor cost reduction. you can easily be way ahead of everyone else in tech and have seemingly infinite mana

If you go Catholic you can be both the Emperor of China and of the HRE, if you go Hussite you can be at maximum meritocracy and mana gain all the time, plus you get cores on all of China and you can steer trade towards Saxony or Kiev, where you'll have a lot of power to collect.

Or you go influ admin, form austria and s&p, get 100% dip annexation cost and conquer the world in like 1650 by stacking some cute pwc, advisors are a pretty minor expense after 1500 anyways :)
When deving up a province, consider deving up a glass province instead. 1. In current patch, glass provinces become free develop once you get a state house. So you can Expand Infrastructure on the province at 15 development. 2. Almost all glass provinces are grasslands/farmlands. 3. If you have a high dev glass province, you can get the Diamond district event. But also in the case of Bohemia, part of your mission tree is to develop your glass province, which permanently increases the price of glass until the end of the game.
I once did a Bohemia run were I went Hussite, then Protestant, became emperor and converted the empire, passing reforma for a late HRE unification and somehow had an Russian PU, an Empire going from the Pyrinees Alaska, loved this country ever since

Playing to complete the Austrian tree for the achievement and PU is crazy, I PU’d GB Portugal and Spain while having most of Byzantium into Syria and the only Europeans not in HRE are Sweden Lithuania and Russia . Poland gave me an event to let them in but unfortunately I have to kill half of them for a mission.

Great guide as always Hawk, to the point and crystal clear! Just think you should try to address the diplo slots issue though, as beginners will likely have trouble managing it and accruing diplo mana for ideas and annexations. You go way over the diplo slot, maybe add some tips about managing it? or reduce unnecessary alliances? Also, a guide on Ethiopia or Granada would be cool, it's been a while!

Great video as always. I would not mind an updated Morocco guide, a country with great potential if setup correctly
Something unrelated with the video is that your pronunciation is so standard that KZread can translate your words accurately! This is really important to me, love from China ❤
As a Czech I can Czech that this is Czechmate for enemies 😀😀!!!
Love the video Hawk! I played a game of Bohemia recently and stayed catholic, I actually ended up deciding not to subjugate Brandenburg & Saxony, I just went to the point of revoking the priveligia, which also works because "vasals"
Great video, i’ll try i my next run, but the Přemyslid pronunciation is the best its so fucking funn xDD
One of my favorite games was Hussite Bohemia creating the Hussite hre
Your guides are great. For whatever reason I keep running into trouble fighting Hungary in the first war. They have higher Mil tech than me and keep kicking my ass.
best tutorial ever frfrfr (video def didnt just come out)
4:20 With the help of The Compacts of Basel event, one stab, a missionary strength guy and Enforce Religion privilege, you can convert Prague in approximately 5 years. It's a major investment, but it's worth it if you're planning on becoming the HRE Emperor. Because getting that .11 IA as soon as you become Emperor is sooo nice. That's an extra 1.2 IA per year without any modifiers. It's 1.32 with Bohemia NIs.
I think you did all baltic nations from 1.34 except Teutonic Order so definitely consider making guide on them, especially holy horde branch!
Espioange first or second group chosen and justified wars, makes the start much easier for AE. Can take all your PUs, and all of austria in the time frame of this video, and not get coalitioned. Also key tip is when the emperor, take a tirol and styria core from austria for reconquests. You can complete Bohemia's mission tree, then do Austria's as a bonus with a painless culture flip.
I played Bohemia and got Austria as a free random PU, take that von Habsburgs!
Just watched this, and had to mention if you go for HRE Path of Bohemia, you can just ignore AE on Brandenburg and Saxony stuff, because when Emperor you can just spend Imperial Authority to make those who could join Coalition to have Positive Opinion with you, so no "Big" Coalitions spawn, and those small ones would never trigger cause you are to Strong for them
I literally just started a Bohemia play through, going to have to steal a few ideas from this! Thanks RedHawk!
Imagine having ahoy as welcome and don't have acces to sea BUT your personal union have!
Please do a Montenegro guide, it's probably the hardest start in the game!
i would like to see a guild for naji I tried to do a campaign with them and maybe kinda sorta raged quit in like the 1480ish and could use some advice
Take a look at Hungary next. Their mision tree is basically even better
THANK YOU although I didn't understand half of it
I know this is an old guide since Dominion is out, but I've restarted now around 10 times and always Hungary allies Austria before I can ally them so it's impossible to get an alliance with Austria which kinda throws off the whole guide. Fighting Hungary and Austria together, even with France seems impossible. Any tips?
I'm happy the videos keep coming. Great work mister Hawk, I watch all of them! 👍🏻

23:36 so far I have played several campaigns as byzantium or trebizond (I never was able to complete them because of updates). I almost every single one of them I have managed to PU burgundy. Just make sure to have atleast 100 opinion and 60 trust. If you have 100+ opinion and 80+ trust you're guaranteed to PU burgundy (assuming you're the one that sent royal marriage request).

Sweet! I have to “check” this guide out…get it? Ha…okay, don’t block me…
Its worth noting in the Polish war, not to go siege down danzig for warscore if possible. They have like 3 forts, one of which is a capital and the other has the monument on it at tier 1 that buffs their defensiveness and attrition.
I dont fully understand why you choose money from France ... I would have given Burgundy provinces instead since you still end up with the inheritance
Why isn't this a world conquest?
The first war against Hungary... Idk if I'm the worst eu4 player in existence, or if the war being easy is crap. Even with 4 allies he just keeps defeating my armies, my allies 50% of the time just sprint with enthusiasm in his 25k man army with their 5k men. Allies and subjects won't attach, even when set on supportive. Oh and yes, not mention his 4/4 general.
26:38 what did you say you were going to be doing to minors.
Cause west Slavic is such an underpowered group the last time I played Bohemia I went theocratic and hussite to stack culture conversion cost, it's really fun converting all of germany and the Balkans and super fun playing with a government form other than monarchy on a game start monarchy

Bohemia is the best nation for one culture + one faith. Holy Hussite Roman Empire is unstopable. Just release Moravia to keep the hussite faith, become emperor and then go back hussite at the same time you revoke the priviliges and after some vassal swarming and spreading your faith you can form HRE. It is not too difficult to make it before 1600.
I know a few creators have made a Holy Horde guide but, nothing quite beats your format my man. My vote is for a Teutons Guide!
