Really wanna see that Hazoret Decklist. I love the Invocation art and wanted to make a deck for her.

Etrata seemed so INTERESTING. I can't wait to see the revamped version. I NEED IT MUDDSTAH

i have etrata deck which i love. its a big gamble and alot of politics. you need to strike deals and hit from surprise with haste. alot of flipping too. you need to have most of the ninjas in the deck so you can flip her after she does dmg. helm of the host i a must.

I was the Baron Sengir player. I have been putting my lands in front since 1993, certainly not doing it to gain an advantage.

If he had the etb trigger for each zombie entering taps a creature then he would have won much earlier

Varina is a fantastic tricolor upgrade to UB Zombies. Adding white to the mix gives Zombie tribal access to tools such as Path and Wrath when your opponents start to gain the upper hand. :3

Always excited to see a God in the command zone!

The first removal was costing 2 less for targeting a legendary but the player chose to remove a normal creature (which was based on controlling the commander to have an actual effect) so I really don't get it. And in the end Varina staing on the board really cost to every other players. This triggers me a lot cause one of my friends is playing her and I feel like she's very powerful and I can't deal with it ever. So I don't know why would one let a commander in her safe spot.

Guess one of them saw it mid-game, but cards exiled with Nightveil Specter are exiled face-up (unlike Thief of Sanity :) ) nice game !

Watching this reminded how much fun Tanto is.

I've been dying to build an Etrata deck, love that win con. Any chance of seeing more from her?

I really like Baron Sengir, I hope that a future Commander product brings him back and maybe we finally get to know what happened to him after he and his army left Ulgrotha; but given that last year we had tribal commanders and we got Edgar Markov instead it is unlikely we see him in the near future in a Commander precon, so maybe if instead of inventing a new plane for those Conspiracy/Battlebond type of sets, they use those sets to revisit some planes, finish loose ends in old storylines or just tell side stories of the multiverse that do not involve the f*cking Gatewatch maybe Sengir could appear in one of those.

Right with you there. Seriously - fuck the Gatewatch. When I was a kid and I first started playing (late Tempest block) I loved Urza, Yawgmoth, Gerrard and the Weatherlight, and although it was sad to lose them I was perfectly fine with the sort of self-contained block-based stories we got for a while, but I've pretty much hated the MtG storyline since the Gatewatch became a thing.

Nice Varina deck. I hated zombies until she came out, love my deck, it's so resilient.

I love varina litch queen she's an amazing zombie commander it looks like he's running the same strategy as me play good creatures and conspiracy effects

Aw man when I saw Etrata in the preview I thought that it would be your deck.

I kinda want all of those draw a card artifacts for my mono white deck.

Not that it mattered much since Specter died pretty much immediatelly but the card should have been exiled face-up. Just for a note in future :)

I’m late Ik but I wanted to play zombie tribal and I looked up the best commander for it, but at 10:20 why didn’t Kirstyn just grab the staff of Nin? It turns off one of Tal’s draws in his upkeep better than the atlas that literally costs mana to do it

Shaun Mummer ben’s playmat is squirrel dealer from unstable. Idk about kirstyn’s tho

i personaly dotn have anything against lands in front, but atleast you should make sure everyone has their board in the SAME order^^

I just made a varina deck! Everytime i play it it gets hated really quickly people always thinking its a crazy top teir combo deck. Lol

Nightveil Specter doesn't exile the cards face down btw

3:53 can you use Ninjutsu after damage calculation step? It seems to me that Kirstyn couldn't use the Mistblade's Ninjutsu ability with Etrata's ability on the stack, as her ability checks after damage calculation step and the Ninjutsu can be used only during Combat Step after blockers are declared AND before damage calculation step, but correct me if I'm wrong. Cyro, Ninjutsu só se importa em retornar uma criatura atacante não bloqueada para a mão, só é necessário que ainda esteja na fase de combate. Ninjutsu [cost] (Return an unblocked attacker you control to hand: Put this card onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.) Pela Wiki: The ninjutsu ability can be activated during the declare blockers, combat damage, or end of combat steps if you have an unblocked attacking creature.

Sad that Tal didn't do much. I really like Hazoret as a mono-R commander and want to build her. Just seems like he didn't draw into any gas and the only thing he could do was to discard to Hazoret. Although like you said discarding to Hazoret isn't the worst thing ever as incremental damage can still threaten life totals.

Judging by the amount of Mountains he discarded, I'd say he got extremely mana-flooded... The saddest thing about Hazoret is that the best cards that work with it are in other colors: Hazoret + Curiosity/Keen Sense = draw three cards every time you activate Hazoret's ability.

Enchantments are such a safe investment in most EDH environments. People rarely have answers to them, and depending on the enchantment it's unlikely that people will use targeted removal on it even if they do.

The new preview tooltips are really freaking annoying when I’m trying to see which commanders are being played at a glance.

Some of these players man...dude in this video with lands in front. Guy in last video i watched tapping lands the wrong way

You know, while I didn't click on those time stamps or even check the video, I'm 100% sure I know what you're referring to because I had that exact same roller coaster of emotions early on in the video.

Yeah excuse me, what the hell is Jim doing? Seems to me like he is trying to hide his board or otherwise be dishonest about what he's doing by putting his lands in front. Not to mention the fact that it's just off putting.
