You wonderful two deserve far more recognition than you get, despite temporary assistance your efforts on relatively heavy bikes is genuinely awesome. Very best of luck and thanks for again posting when it is so difficult travelling.

Definitely!

When riding sand do not follow the wrong advice you see in many articles and videos stating : "lean back on the rear wheel and accelarate". You should stay CENTERED, not too much grip on the front wheel and build momentum with steady acceleration. When stuck on a slope like in the beginning, go back slowly and attack the slope with some speed and on the hardest surface available. what you did in the beginning was 'digging " a bigger ditch and steeper incline for the next motorbike. Riding sand and loose earth is painful at first be patient. Also if stuck for real do not hesitate to unload the bike in order to cross the hazard. loose some time but you get less tired from failed attempts. Ride safe!:)

looks hard work-I guess even harder with all the gear on the bike. I got stuck up to the back axle in sand so not my favourite place. Speed & momentum helps as less likely to dig in.

Hey, I came here from your post at adventurism and wanted to ask you how the strom handled in terms of skidding and sliding on gravel roads considering the ABS can't be switched off. I got the same model last year and wanted to test out mild skidding and turning on gravel/sand roads but being a beginner I'm a little hesitant to doing it only with TC off. Thank you!

Hi Nora. Having caught up on all your adventures almost and seeing how well the V Strom has performed, I have been looking into getting one as my next bike. I am really liking the 2020 1050 XTA. A bit big I know for doing what you and JOJO have done but perfect for what I would want a bike for. Also, in this video you ran out of energy quite quickly. Do you think you may have been unaware you were pregnant at the time. I do wish you and JOJO all the very best for your futures. ❤️🥰👍🏻

Trying to get a bike up a steep sandy slope like that will never work. You have to travel up diagonally so the gradient is shallower.

kuhn oberholtzer Absolutely it's like skiing downhill you have to traverse and keep your weight on the inside peg but hey it's a lot easier to give advice sitting here behind my computer screen. Out of all the global motorcycle adventurers Nora and her boyfriend travel the toughest paths on the lowest of budgets and have my total respect.
