This is Africa. Just chill and enjoy the hospitality of the Kenyan Police Service. Usually there is a police canteen nearby where you can get cold beer.

This video has given me most important piece of knowledge, that I did not know. Immigration stamp is the next important thing on visa. Thanks Nora.

Scarry to be detained in any country and more when you have language communication difficulties and say fears of the unknown. Things are compounded when you know it's over paperwork. Glad you have your embassies working on your behalf and helping to sort things out

Too bad the embassies were absolutely useless. And luckily it was Kenya, I cannot imagine what would have happened in Ethiopia or Sudan. English is very well spoken here so that's not our biggest issue.

Logistically and culturally travelling from north to south Africa must be one of the toughest challenges for a motorcycle Adventurer. Yeah you are certainly having your fair share of trials and tribulations but it's much more character building then being a terminal case for IBM 😂😂

Good Grief! So sorry to hear this, I do so hope the moron who arrested you gets his just deserts. I wonder if the Kenyan Authorities realise the damage this will do to Kenya's reputation to travellers and holiday makers? Very best of luck.

CASH always works in Africa. Cash makes EVERYTHING go away. You just put the cash 'inside' your passport before you hand it to the officer to inspect

This is the problem. I indicated in one of your blogs when you guys were entering kenya you took a panya route into kenya. a panya route "Panya" in English means Rat. These are unofficial routes used to smuggling illegal stuff or conduct any other illegal activity. Like I said there is a brand new road connecting ethiopia and kenya recently completed and that's the road you should have taken and got your passport stumped at the border town of moyale. So the police were only doing their job. remember these areas like your friend driving the car said were bandit prone and dangerous. Also the threat of alshabab can not be discounted.
