On another note… I had an issue still with the durability of my .204 shafts after adding the ethics system. When I would hit something hard, the nock would fly out of the shaft and split the nock end of the shaft. Ethics also sells a nock adapter. In the .204 shafts, you have to shoot a “G” nock. With this component added, There is nothing tougher! BTW, Great videos!

Yea a nock collar or adapter works good for that situation no doubt, probably why gold tip uses them on higher end arrows

What’s your draw length and the shaft length cut to for the 50lbs bow?

What length are you cutting your arrows to? I also have a 27 1/2 draw. I was also hoping to get around 225-300 grains up front for my 50# recurve. Currently shooting 500’s at 30” but with no significant weight up front. I have a set of brass 100 gr inserts and a set of gold tip traditional xt 500”s ready to cut, fletch, and assemble. I just didn’t want to burn up components if I’m going to be under-spined.

Do you notice any penetration differences in the four vs two blade ? I’ve shot the four blade for several years out of my compound with great success on elk but I’ll be trying my luck with a bear montana this year .. wanting a satori but I haven’t found a 19” riser just yet . Also looking for a recommendation on a string for the montana Love your channel !!

Bears are much softer than elk so if you're doing well on elk with the 4 blade, no need to go 2 for bear

Never under-estimate wound channel. The difference between an excellent & so -so blood loss. I have a 640 grain arrow build with a steel/carbon hybrid arrow in a 350 spine that I shot with a 125 grain cut on contact 😮 broadhead with the Ethics 125 grain outsert/insert that killed an old buck but jammed on the exit wound & the failure point still existed right behind the components. I now run a 58 grain outsert with a Valkyrie 210 Jagger & it doesn't ever want to stop.

So do they make something for wood arrows? I love carbons for my compounds but I shoot wood in my longbow and recurves. They shoot fantastic but I want to use the screw in broadheads that I love. Can you offer any advice?

What is the lowest draw weight you found to get that gold tip 400 still flying straight and what was the tip weight . Could I get 400s to fly perfectly straight out of 43 pound recurve with a 29 inch draw length and a 31 inch arrow any thoughts , also with 300 grains up front? Thank you brother in christ 🙏

Yes it will work as long as the arrows are around 31” and there’s at least that much up front but every bow is different, some just shoot harder than others and the depth of the shelf some are cut deeper than others allowing for stiffer arrows 👍🏻

With the Ethics system you’ll need around 2-3” of shaft past your riser at full draw, my draw is 27.5” and those shafts were cut 29.5”, the sleeves cover around 1” of them 👍🏻

Yes sir there’s just no protection for the end of the shaft, if you’re not wanting a collar Id just go with either stainless or brass 100 grain inserts, they’d be more durable alone 👍🏻

Thanks for the response. I like your videos! Especially since I picked up a TBOW a few months ago and saw you new videos with one. I’m kind of limited in choices for .204’s. I am looking for some brass inserts with the little lip out front for the points to sit against like on my 6mm arrows.
