I don't think that was meant to showcase people turning lights on as a signal of people coming back, I think it was more so the emergence of energy shown as light based on the population density of whatever area (ie the energy of the people/souls coming back) regardless of day or night. I say this because the light can be faintly scene in areas facing the sun and facing away.

This trailer did a great job showcasing how big this movie looks. So many of these are huge in scale shots. Lots of wides. Maybe it's just the footage that's trailer-ready, but I like how large the trailer feels.

I also sensed it in Ikaris’ facial expression on the very first teaser where Sersi falls in love with the beauty of Earth, he’s is like “we’re here for our duty and everything”

There were 4 snaps altogether. Imagine all the energy that was released with each snap. Thanos collects all stones (1st snap), Thanos destroying stones (2nd snap), Hulk returning the victims of the blip (3rd snap) and Tony's sacrifice (4th snap). I wonder exactly what kind of energy was released?

Yeah the Snap and Re-Snap has obviously gone deeper than the 'just like it was scenario'. People remarried, people died naturally when other came back, also the scenario when they come back is what if they rematerialize in the middle of the road in dangerous traffic or in the middle of the sea where no ship is present....etc.

For example, the band from Spider-Man's school reappeared back in the middle of the basketball match, because they weren't in direct/mortal harm, but someone like Nick Fury, who was in the road when he got snapped away, was probably put on the side of the road, since we know he's still alive

The Asgardians who also fought Thanos weren't humans. The most of the Guardians who fought Thanos weren't human. The Eternals clearly should have been able to join the fight, but didn't.

The nuclear blast and Phastos Crying kinda reminded me of the Watcher origin story when his species gives nuclear power knowledge to a race and they use it to annihilate themselves, creating the watcher code to never intervene with other race's development

"Going Homelander" wow, what a great phrase to describe anyone going straight nuts and killing everyone.

This is just like how I felt when I was watching _Guardians of the Galaxy_ for the first time. I didn't know anything about these people, heck, I didn't even know it was a Marvel comic series until later on. Then you enjoy it so much. I'm hoping the same thing will happen with _The Eternals._

Now that I’ve seen their adaptation and scale of the celestials, I really want to see how they make galactus look.

The symbols are runes of the Elder Futhark. The first one is Ing/ Ingwaz, the second is Daeg/ Dagaz. Ing means "The Fire Within" symbolising the spark of creation, the power to give life and make land fertile. Daeg means "The Light" symbolising midday/midsummer, it represents embracing the positive power of the day/daylight ect.

Can we please talk about this soundtrack. It’s literally perfection. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

They have done such an amazing job on this trailer! My fave part was when Icarus was fighting that monster and it had his head to the ground and he shot his laser eyes. That was a very powerful image! I could tell that was a very intense fight.

At least they addressed Thanos and conquest...granted didn't like the reason why they didn't intervene since it was on a galactic scale not just Earth

I’m curious how this movie will end. If a Celestial is indeed emerging from the planet then the only way to resolve that would be to either: a) kill it - which they don’t have the power to do at all b) put it back to sleep somehow - only delaying when the planet gets destroyed unless they can freeze it consistently for eternity basically c) get it out of the planet without destroying the planet Any of those options probably won’t go down well with the celestials so I’m guessing that’s why Arishem makes an appearance.

Good call. A lot of the shots seem to be part of an extended "creation of the earth" montage--the stars forming, the Celestial spinning dust in its hands, the lights on the planet, etc. I think it's a case of a trailer cutting & pasting things out of context to create a 2 minute narrative.

This seems almost like a fantasy opera. Looks incredible and epic!

The "double-helix" is Ingwaz, which represents unity, peace, agreement, and harmony, but also symbolizes undying love between romantic partners. Ingwaz also represents completion and certainty of conclusion. The rune is related with wholesome, healthy sexuality and strong and affectionate family.

Does Kang know about the Eternals? Does he have all these dialogs written somewhere in his scripts?

Is it bad that I feel that somehow Ikaris is also an antagonist, there is something off about him but I can't simply put it. I feel like the line "When you love something, you protect it" will play a good part on his motivations for being a secondary antagonist. Just a thought.

Yeah Ikaris will be dedicated to serving the Celestials, the other eternals will want to protect humans. Won’t be the proper big bad, but will be the “physical” big bad of the movie I think

Yo you guys were right

You would think that Thanos having the Deviant gene (not a full Deviant since he’s still an Eternal, but still) would be enough for the Eternals to intervene, but I guess the Celestials told specifically them not to given the gray area involved. Also, hopefully Black Knight gets his Ebony Blade in the movie.

Yeah, I almost think that line was changed for the trailers, but in the actually movie there will be a different explanation (could be simple as “don’t interfere unless we tell you” and the issue is they have not heard from them in millennia)

The deviant is indeed kro. It is given so in the subtitles of the trailer around 2:11 .

Celestials were actually created by the First firmarment as well as Aspirants . They were all Celestials created by him out of loneliness but ended up going into Celestial war due to their differences where the aspirants wanted to continue worshiping and obeying their creator but the Celestials which were brightly colored were considered rebels for wanting to be independent from their creator by creating life of their own
